Actual Fashion Related Question--WATCH NEGOTIATING

New or used?

There is no possible way to even give a range on this question without more information.
new. retail jewelry store.

not concerned with whether cash or charge.

do you really need to know the brand?

Oh, God, yes. We're talking about a totally outrageous paradigm.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

It's probably relevant given that many brands have resale price maintenance agreements that will result in the store's termination as a brand outlet if they discount the price beyond a certain amount.

That I remember?

I wasn't referring to the roadie trotting out another one when Mr. Big drills through his guitar string.

Why are you (or your friend, I wasn't really paying attention as to who wanted the watch, and I'm certainly not going back to reread the post at this point) buying the watch from a retail jewelry store? In answer to your question, then, with this starting point, expect a 25-35% mark-down from sticker and expect that to still be about 300% of "value".

Or find an internet friend with back-alley TCOTU wholesale watch sales connections and get a hook-up. Or go to the website that was posted last year right before my big watch purchase and expect to pay 10% below whatever you would end up paying in the jewelry retail store (please say it isn't in a mall too).

So many options!

If my friends, gwnc and alcohol, are there, I'm there too. It isn't in, like, the middle of winter or something stupid, right?

(I'd go back and read the post to find out when it is, but that would be cheating or something.)

No trumpets. Funky guitars, though:

Plus, the front man is not the lead singer/the lead singer is not the front man. Pretty rare. But Robin Zander does have that dreamy hair.

Again, RT fucked up the table, so "composer" got smushed between "song" and "running time."
