It hasn't been the same since they killed off Maude Flanders.

No. It went downhill after "Who Shot Mr. Burns."
I feel very strongly about this.

I think this more appropriately applies to Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman.
(I totally stopped watching in the middle of the second season, suckers!)

Antonio Davis
New York's Antonio Davis went into the stands during last night's Knicks-Bulls game, after a fan threatened his wife. There are rumblings that the NBA will suspend him for this for as many as 8 games, costing him about $1 million. Bullshit, in my view. What the fuck was he supposed to? Watch some drunk fuck assault his wife? In my view, he did exactly the right thing. Suspending him for protecting his family is asinine.

I agree. Of course Stern will say that whatever fine and suspension he gives him will be because he wants to encourage players to alert stadium security to handle such matters. Stern likes bright-line rules (like the automatic suspension for leaving the bench during a fight -- even though there are plenty of scenarios where it actually makes sense to do so). He's simply not going to tolerate players going into the stands.
The smart thing to do would be to give him a one game suspension and a minor fine. It's not going to be a trend unless they do something stupid like have a separate section in each stadium for players' families. If they do that, every fan will know exactly which people are related to the players and you definitely don't want that. At most, they should have a box for every players' use. And if you're a player's wife and you choose to sit down amongst the crowd, you will do it at your own risk.
That said, security should be all over any idiot who is acting in a menacing way towards anybody in the stadium. What the fuck are the ushers for anyway? They should have alerted security as soon as that jackass started acting the fool.

Maybe he was drunk, but he's definitely an asshole.

I don't question that what Davis did was justified, but what the fuck is he doing looking up in the stands when there's a game on?

Pressing charges is one thing. Filing a civil lawsuit and hiring a PR advisor are something else. Damages? Please.
(As far as I can tell, no charges have been pressed. Is there ANY evidence that she assaulted him?)

All players are looking at women in the stands all the time. But why would he be looking at the wife is legitimate question.
edit- first 2 google image search hits for "Kendra Davis"
i'm thinking not the woman in question---
