But this had better be good. If I see one word about Saks, or Bergdorfs or Ann Taylor or god forbid, Brooks Brothers, I am adding you to B'nB's hit list.
Why not have TM screen it?

Save your money and buy (through the Lawtalkers Amazon link, natch) one or more of Paula Begoun's books. She has one on hair products too.

Doesn't she rate all products? I found her hair product one to be particularly helpful.

My local one has a lot of french wines. from what I'm told, that shit wouldn't fly in California. So I suspect the buyer, or at least the selection, differs across stores. That and the fact that each state has different distributors/distribution rules probably make a uniform/centralized selection impossible.

I realize different people have different issues with hair and skin and personal upkeep in general, but doesn't skin and hair look best when left au natural? It seems to me that people who spend a lot of time on money on their hair and skin have really nothing to show for it aside from irritated skin, hair with lots of buildup, and large bills for "product." It seems like the more one does to their hair or skin the more they feel they NEED to do to it. Isn't this why popstars and movie stars end up with brittle hair (and sometimes balding) and horrible acne and irritated skin?

Try just going natural for a while? Or minimal?

That's the point. You can find good makeup, skin care, etc. that doesn't cost the moon.

Just came back from Saks. Tried the spray on SK-II foundation is that worth the $150? I am wrestling with the idea of Chanteicaille. That is $65. Laura Mercier which I use currently and have for years is $40ish.
Wow, that's expensive. I have never used any of those things. I use a custom blend by Prescriptives when I bother to wear foundation. I don't wear a lot of make up though.

The largerpoint is to stay the fuck out of Saks unless you want to work full-time until you're 90, because frittering money away on retail pleasures won't even give you happy memories to ponder at your desk.

If you are going to spend money on non-necessities, do it on experiences. Shopping is not an experience.

I'm still flat-ass broke, remember? God sake, Man, you used to put at least some effort into your insults. This is just pathetic.

I think you've been hanging around Spanky too much.

You're paying for it? Don't you know Hank will pay you 10 bucks for the experience?
