Lowell. God bless Lowell. WFC... Whenever that disc comes on, you know the next afternoon will be painful.

Try the Dead's Dicks Picks 22 (rEdiculous) and Two From the Vault (I prefer the 67-69 Pigpen Cryptical>Other>St. Steven>Eleven phase). 22 is mind blowing. They weave a China Cat through the whole thing and tie it up with the best Good Morning Schoolgirl ever (in fact, the ONLY GMLS ever).

I have had no problems with my watch from there, but it would suck to lose out of the mfgr warranty if something did go wrong. Did you get your watch fixed?
Yeh. I mailed it to a buddy who walked it into the NYC flagship store and said "here, fix this." They did, and cheap. Folks in Philly don't do that. They fuck with you instead, just to be screaming 4 alarm douchebags. Nice team, Philly.

I bought another other watch from a used car dealer. That story is far too long and dull to retell. Suffice it to say, I got a discount, its new, and its got to be illegal. But they gave me the box and papers, so its got to be ok, I guess. No forgeries. I had it checked out with a dealer.

...A watch dealer.

I give you a pass on the caffeine. I hate you for your bad form which caused you to get that muscle pull you had... Cheater.

Really? Can't imagine why. Do you think maybe it's partially because the Quarterback looks like the love child of Archie Manning and Andy Dick?

I'm meant if they could see real sports.

Like check this, I heard in France hundreds of thousands of people will stand along a road to watch some guys ride by on bikes. Why?

Maybe. Because. There. Is. No. NBA. Or. NFL. In. France?

Thanks
A little less each time they see you coming back to look at it.

This is very good.
Because I am trying to add content in Penske and Paigow's absence (since I lobbied for it)

"Unleashed in the East" by Judas Priest

"On Your Feet or On Your Knees," and "Some Enchanted Evening" by Blue Oyster Cult.

Both bands were better live than their studio releases.

Just an FYI for everyone who posted today about live CDs!
  • Update:
    RCO Live-Performance CD Available !
    12/21/2003
    A Special Note From Toni...

In early November of this year (2003) Daryl and I performed a benefit concert for the Reno Chamber Orchestra (RCO). The concert was held at the University of Nevada, Reno, at Nightingale Hall, a lovely, intimate 600 seat theatre.

The concert was a fabulous success, and raised much-needed funds for the RCO. Daryl and I arranged to have the concert professionally recorded, with proceeds from sales of the CDs to benefit the RCO.

A recording of the entire concert is now available in a two CD set. In the first CD, I sing many of my favorite songs written by great American composers such as George Gershwin and Johnny Mercer, accompanied by pianist and alto sax player, Matt Catingub, and bassist Hans Halt. Many of the songs I chose were requested by audience members in the weeks before the concert. Some of the songs on the first CD include MAKIN’ WHOOPEE, ZIPADEEDOODAH, SENTIMENTAL JOURNEY, I GOT IT BAD AND THAT AIN’T GOOD, SOMEONE TO WATCH OVER ME, and FOR ALL WE KNOW.

The second CD begins with four great standards, which were among the special requests I received, including Charlie Chaplin’s SMILE, and George Gershwin’s OUR LOVE IS HERE TO STAY. Then I introduce the “Special Guest Star” for the evening, Captain of the Keyboards, DARYL DRAGON!!! As usual, all bets are off once Daryl takes the stage! We performed many C&T favorites, including MUSKRAT LOVE, DO THAT TO ME ONE MORE TIME, LOVE WILL KEEP US TOGETHER, and COME IN FROM THE RAIN. We also did a version of BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATERS, a special request from an audience member. We closed the concert with the song I wrote to close each one of our television shows, WE NEVER REALLY SAY GOODBYE. Some of you may remember that one.

Both CDs include everything heard from the stage that night, including all my talk about the songs, Daryl’s comments, and audience reaction, in addition to the music. It is the ONLY LIVE RECORDING we have ever done. I think you would really enjoy it, and the proceeds from the CD sales go to one of our favorite musical organizations here in northern Nevada, the Reno Chamber Orchestra.

The RCO Benefit Concert two-CD set is available only through the Reno Chamber Orchestra. It is not available in stores. Please call Fifi or Scott at the RCO office at 775 348 9413 for details. Hope you enjoy the concert!!!

  • I have seen this film, it opened in the UK a few weeks ago, and thoroughly enjoyed it. Of the Ehle/Firth version I have to concur with a correspondent to The Guardian, "Does anyone else have the same problem I do with the quality of the videotape? I have watched mine a mere 160 times and it is already starting to show signs of wear. Terrible.

I am conflicted about this movie. I love P&P but don't want to be disappointed with this movie in comparison to to Colin Firth version. Perhaps I should pull out my DVD and watch it again. (The good thing about the DVD is that you don't have to worry about the VHS wearing out.)

I'll have to wait for another Firth version fan to see it first and review it.

Right. www.prestigetime.com. That is also where I bought my watch last year b/c the nudge-nudge-wink-wink wholesale connection (hi, you-know-who!) that I was working said they couldn't do better than their prices either.

But sunny should probably buy from the mall. Sounds like a plan.
I am a very loyal person when it comes to shopping. I'd rather pay a little more and go somewhere where I like the people. This particular shop is the oldest jewelry shop in DC. It's wedged in on Conn. Ave. between a Thomas Pink's and Burberry. I've broken my Tag about 10 times and they've fixed it for free every time, simply saying "just remember us when it comes time for your next purchase"--so, I'd really like to give them the business, because I like to reward good service. I'm just curious how much I can expect it to come down in price, so I have an idea when i shouldn't work at it anymore.

Oh, God, yes. We're talking about a totally outrageous paradigm.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

Well, for 3400, I'd hope you're not buying another Tag. Most over marked up watch ever.
