Maybe he thinks Kerry's not weak on defense.

C'mon. He's trying to bring civility back, and isn't going to say boo. What he does say, in that context, is clear enough:
"Asked on NBC's "Today" if he thought Kerry was weak on defense, McCain said: "No, I do not believe that he is, quote, weak on defense. He's responsible for his voting record, as we are all responsible for our records, and he'll have to explain it. But, no, I do not believe that he is necessarily weak on defense. I don't agree with him on some issues, clearly. But I decry this negativism that's going on on both sides. The American people don't need it."
When asked on "The Early Show" if Kerry's election would compromise national security, McCain responded: "I don't think that — I think that John Kerry is a good and decent man. I think he has served his country."
McCain, Bush's rival for the Republican nomination in 2000, said he believes Bush has led the nation with clarity since the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, and that he supports Bush's re-election. "But I would certainly hope that we could raise the level of this debate. Otherwise, we're going to have very low voter turnouts in November," he told CBS. "
(Note the "---" instead of a period in the second paragraph. He didn't say "I don't think that." He started to say "I don't think that . . ." and then stopped. Damning by faint praise.

Sigh. I'm officially not interested in taking part in any future "WMD/lies" discussions, but I do have to say that your indignation on that score loses a lot of force when you use the same terminology here.
What Kerry said was true. R laid off the workers and concurrently opened a factory in China. If you have a problem with the way he characterized the facts, fine. Others might not be so interested in knowing *why* a company chooses to operate a foreign subsidiary instead of continuing to employ american woprkers. Every company has a reason, and I'm sure many of the more egregious offenders cite reasons which make as much sense to you as R's do.
But lying is a much bigger deal, as you have rightly observed in your tireless battle against the forces of Good...i mean, the Forces of Ty.

Seems to me that NCS is starting to like hanging out here. One tip for you if you are going to stay- make sure not to call AG "petty."

I saw the McCain bit on the Today show bit this morning. What I found interesting was that McCain went well out of his way to mention the important work that the intelligence commission he's on is going to do in terms of investigating the "failures" (I think he used that term) in the run-up to the war. That seemed like more of a tweak at Bush than this stuff does.
[Edited because I realized I didn't see the Early Show quote. Maybe I didn't see any of this. Where am I? And why do I keep having to edit posts? I'm outta here.]

And be sure to be appropriately flirtatious and deferential to the men and to temper the strength of your opinions. Women on this board who do not do those things run the risk of being accused of being a man.

Cool.
Though sometimes this thing reveals more than I really wanted to know. Why Tyrone gave $1500 to Nader is beyond me.

Due to the massive amounts of rohypnol that were in my system, I have no actual memory of the degree of hirsutism. However, in the video, it is quite hairy and has a couple ears' worth of brown-flecked corn kernels stuck in it. Bilmore may have added that post-production though.
The part where SD was unable to maintain an erection until he stuck this ENORMOUS dildo up his ass seems like it'd've been difficult to fake, though.

Instant street cred with the neo-hippie chicks. $1500 might be a small price to pay - I hear they shave now.

Speaking of Nader's effect on the race, latest CBS/NYT poll shows that Bush beats Kerry by 8% if Nader is in the race.

FCC Cites Stern, Bono for Indecency

FCC Cites Stern, Bono for Indecency
WASHINGTON (AP) - Federal regulators continued their crackdown on indecency Thursday, issuing a fine for a broadcast of the Howard Stern radio show and ruling that an expletive uttered by rock singer Bono on NBC violated broadcast standards.
The Federal Communications Commission proposed fining Infinity Broadcasting the maximum $27,500 for a Stern show broadcast on WKRK-FM in Detroit.
The FCC also overruled its staff and said that Bono's expletive during the 2003 Golden Globe Awards program was indecent and profane, but issued no fine.

So is anyone concerned now? Fine Stern but not Bono. Why? This is the discretionary/arbitrary shit I've been (over)posting about.
