Everyone needs to watch out. This could become a case of standard office Darwinism. Once someone starts challenging management, management co-opts/promotes them. I give it a week or two and Thurgreed will be a moderator.
Wouldn't this be Darwinism as modified by the Peter Principle?

if this were Politics, I'd say "ask Ty. He's the know it all."
Here I'll say "Screw you bilmore. I think ncs is doing a wonderful job with her new duties, whatever those may be."

That awful strident. I always showered and took a breath mint before class. And, big surprise, I don't look like my avatar. lots of people don't.
SS is not a lizard, Thurgreed not a puddle, etc.
Atticus' newest does look a lot like him, but that's the exception proving the rule.

This is correct. I am a shape shifting blood drinking world ruling reptilian humanoid. I can live with the board shorthand, though. I'm flexible.

P.S. I'm guessing from your avatar that you were promoted recently?

Here is the problem with this board:

Whenever anyone gets criticized, everyone checks to see who is doing the criticizing and who is getting criticized. If I'm doing the criticizing (for example), someone points out when they think I've acted in a way similar to the action I'm criticizing. Or they reach (and you never have to reach far) for something else I do that's annoying and try to hold that up. Okay.

When it's paigow, everyone can't wait to jump in and tell her why she's a looney. I understand this because she rarely makes much sense. And she doesn't understand the following, which is the point you've all been waiting for:

No matter what is being criticized, almost everyone on this board automatically thinks it would be hilarious to incorporate it into every single one of their posts for all eternity. It isn't.

And if you're still doing it 3 years later, paigow's right. You are trying to signal to everyone else that you know stuff that is particular to the board. But who cares about the reason? The point is, it is stupid, overdone and objectively not funny.

Everyone is guilty of this. I make no exceptions. But why is it that no one notices when it is no longer clever to say, for example, "For Fred's sake. Oh, Fred, you devil. Fredland. I swear to Fred. Etfuckingcetera." Not everything can be an FBism. "Timmy" survives because it was a clever way of summing up a certain type of behavior. People aren't using it to be funny. They are using it to reference that behavior.

In short, sometimes you have to let the fucking joke die already.

The symphony has a reality of its own, which is independent of the way in which it is performed. The mistakes which musicians make in performance in no way compromise that reality.

Why don't you Gobble Gobble this

"And the Razzie goes to: "Gigli," "Gigli" and, oh yes, "Gigli." Plus another three for good measure.

In a virtual sweep of the awards that "honor" the worst of the very worst in Hollywood -- a sort-of anti-Oscar, the Jennifer Lopez-Ben Affleck mega-flop was accorded the Golden Raspberry on Saturday as worst film of the year. "

*sigh*

Mahler never received good reviews during his lifetime, either.
