Not according to the BBC.

"He discovered that, at the time of the American War of Independence in 1775, the average American man was 5ft 9 - about two inches taller than the average British man.

"Now, the tables have been turned - with the British around half an inch taller than the Americans, who have now reached an average height of 5ft 10."

So funny.

WTF? After the Yanks whupped the Sox that was all she wrote? [still, I hope--watching the game now]

There was a NY Times article about parasite ridden Giambi's delicate constitution today.

I was told the mets are the team to watch in the next two years anyway. Meet the Mets, greet the mets....

Now that summer's here, women are wearing less. That is nice. Also, women have been getting more plastic surgery, so their bodies look much better in clothes. Also nice. Also, women now want to show off their asses, when they have them (as opposed to buying jeans that made everyone look like they have no ass, which sucked. Thank God that's no longer the style). Anyway, all this has led to more eye candy.

Let me add that I am older and getting more perveted by the day.

When I walk down the street, I now automatically scope and assess each woman I pass. This is nothing new. I'm sure I did it to some degree all my life. The difference is, now I make a mental note as to whether I would fuck whoever I see.

Here is an example of what goes on in my head (and this happened just a little while ago at lunch):

"Yes."
"No."
"No way."
"Not a chance."
"Yes."
"Oh, hell yeah."
"Uh, no."
"Hmmm. Maybe."
"Bleh. No."
"Damn. Yez."
Etc.

Does anyone else do this? Is it a guy thing? A perveted TM thing? I can't stop. Someone buy me a lunchbox.

I don't know about balt, and I've never tried it, but based on what ncs says, SURE! I mean, is it anything like that "roofie" you gave me? That was fun, right? Or at least you said it was.

I remember that night my freshman year at the Deke mixer. You'd just been named the Deke Head. I was 18 and confused and not used to being around men so sofisticated, so knowing, so deliberately hairless. You said you had a really big stereo and asked if I wanted come to your room to check it out. I said, "SURE!" God, I was so NAIVE!!!

Your room was wicked bad - I'd never seen someone with wall-sized posters of The Smiths AND Robert Smith. Did anyone besides me ever get the joke?

And so many cassettes! Of bands I'd never heard of!!!! I thought I was blown away by the size of your woofers until you opened up the tape deck and slapped in "Love Will Tear Us Apart." Not the JD version but The Swans cover. The slow accoustic version with the chick singing..

Dark started appearing around the edges, but not before I heard the opening riff to "How Soon Is Now." Or maybe it was that Hippy Chick song - they can do amazing things with cassettes. No hissing.

I wanted to dance, but the night ended too soon. It seemed like one minute I was sitting on the futon and the next minute I was looking for my clothes, quietly so as not to wake your roommate.

So I'll try the "E." But don't bring the roommate. It was funny when you talked all, "Deke, deke, deke, deke, deke," but I want to feel all shiny and new.

I realize it's tough, but you really just need to get over the fact that she left you.

Seriously, it's not healthy to keep drinking every night and thinking about all the different guys she is now fucking.

Just try to let it go.

Either that, or she's had 5 or 6 too many tequila shots. And your additional comment made me laugh out loud, even though I'm here, in the office, by myself, foot commando and everything.

And AON, there are only 2 places to obtain food in this gigantic city today- McDonalds and Starbucks. Godbless the evil empires.

Maybe George Karl

Coach K turns down
Lakers to stay at Duke
Krzyzewski had been offered $40 million over five years to succeed Jackson

Apparently coach K prefers to being worshipped as a god and getting all the perks that a god gets at Duke. Me, I'll take abuse for 40 mill. Hell, I'm doing it for a whole lot less now.

Meet me at the Hellenos Diner on Ditmars Boulevard at about 2:00 - we'll have some coffee:

2-0? Not a bad prediction, I suppose. You probably would not have gotten any funny looks if you had predicted France winning over Greece with a margin of 3-1. I think you would also have been in good company predicting a 3-0 victory by the Czech Republic. As it turns out, there was only one score you needed to know: 1-0. I said it before and I will say it again. Miracle. Not. On. Ice.

WHO'S THE LUCKY BOY?
Angelos Charisteas celebrates and pays tribute to a young man, presumably his son.

"presumably his son"? Yeah right.

When will people wise up to what's considered acceptable and even "normal" to these people?

Happy to have been proved wrong. You should have seen the scenes in Astoria yesterday. Three items of note: (1) apparently a "goal" is a "goal" in every language on earth, and when your team scores one it's a "goooooooooooooooaaaaaaallll!!!!" from Athens to Uruguay (2) the Bloomberg smoking ban does not apply to Greek establishments on Euro final day, and (3) Christiano Ronaldo is nowt but a wee greetin' lassie who should get back tae Boro where he belongs. Ellas! Ellas! Ellas!

Confidential to Shape Shifter

Warning - totally NOT work appropriate. Pictures of people who have passed out and what their "friends" do to them.

Public service announcement - never pass out if there's a sharpie in the room. Hysterical photos of a guy with drawings on his ass. Other hysterical drawings and/or photos and naked drunk chicks. There's a guy whose ass is actually on fire.

Shifty, you'll notice that I've named no names - but you know who you are.

the day after party
