Beautiful Woman does not attend geek conventions. She might have interest in geek things, but she is never able to stop the voices in her head that tell her that Beautiful Woman must not seem too smart. The inability to find creative outlets that are not beneath her drive Beautiful Woman further into insanity and sometimes lead to unfortunate outfit choices on the Red Carpet. But what is Beautiful Woman to do? She has worked so long to attain the Beautiful Woman mystique. One word to anyone that she attended the Star Trek convention in Pasadena and she will be permanently banned from the Playboy Mansion. And there is not enough Klingon makeup in the world to hide the identity of Beautiful Woman. Poor poor Beautiful Woman.

This advice is worth what you paid for it: most women, particularly most women over 35, really hate to see guys their age chasing young beautiful girls. It cuts too close to a vision of ourselves as still attractive (warranted or not).
Common tactics for dealing with the dislike is either (a) cutting down the beautiful girl as lacking brains, being shallow, etc. or (b) making you an object of fun.
This behavior is going to be more pronounced as you get over 40 and continue to try and date girls in their 20s. Know that you will be mocked by your "friends" behind your back.
Since the women in your peer group do not want you to succeed, they are not going to give you any advice that would actually further your cause.
Oh, and my daughter is Stacey's age. Don't even think about it.

False. They were the suitpants from a Brioni. Dry clean only.
Nice try though.

I kind of envy people like you. I can tell the difference between cheap wine and good wine. And I like good wine. But I simply cannot tell the difference between good wine and exceptional wine. I have a few relatives that can truly appreciate exceptional wine but it is just wasted on me.
Some day I am probably going to inherit a pretty impressive wine cellar/collection and it will be totally undeserved and unappreciated. I will invite you over for dinner when the time comes.

There a lot of fucked up things in this post, but what's most fucked up is that you know what my buttons are and you go far down your hateful path to push them. You know I am very insecure about whether people here like me- and you state, TWICE, that everyone talks about me behind my back.
Who do you talk to about me? Thurgreed? dtb? who? Fringey? Who hates me so much that they pm you to fuel your diatribes? When you were little, did you pull the wings off of flies?
RT, do I have to endure this? Can't she be banned? isn't this some violation of something?

Smashing. I will attend. Thank you.
FWIW, if you can speed the inheritance process, I will be traveling the highways and byways between Calistoga and Santa Cruz and back to SF the weekend of October 14.

Mainly I IM with people about you, if that makes you feel better. Blue Triangle doesn't have IM, so we PM.

Yes, it was really bad - and I love good Sangria. My cousin's boyfriend is portugese and his family lives in an apartment building right on the west side of the broadway tunnel. His mother makes the best Sangria of all time. It has got the nutmeg and cinnamon and god knows what else.
