Because Bono is much better looking?

The part where SD was unable to maintain an erection until he stuck this ENORMOUS dildo up his ass seems like it'd've been difficult to fake, though.
Glad I wasn't eating when I read that.

Nader campaign gives Bush a boost in polls

Nader campaign gives Bush a boost in polls

Democrats who cringed publicly upon Ralph Nader's entry into the presidential race are finding merit to their fears, as the independent candidate is cutting a wide swath into the party's base.

A CBS-New York Times poll released yesterday had President Bush pulling ahead of Sen. John Kerry by three percentage points in a head-to-head matchup, a statistical dead heat. But when Mr. Nader was added to the mix, Mr. Bush's lead bounced to eight points.

The cast of the West Wing were largely Gephardt fans. Oh, and --- big surprise --- Jerry Stiller was a Lieberman man. bloglink.

My neighborhood is more democratic than I thought. There is even one wing nut who gave money to Kucinich. I think I may have to egg his house.

The latest state by state polls show Arizona and Ohio as leaning to Kerry despite being won by Bush, with New Hampshire now a solid Kerry state. They also say Nevada and Florida are toss-ups, and at least one poll says Kerry is vulnerable in Pennsylvania.

Nader will always have an impact in the toss-up states, the ones that are likely to be decided by 1-2%. Most of the other battleground states, however, are not Nader's strong areas. For this and other reasons, the national polls will overstate Nader's influence.

But, without him in it last time, Gore would likely be President. So that impact in the toss-up states always counts.

In a similar vein you probably should check out the season premiere of South Park if you haven't already. Decently clever political message at the end, not as catchy as Blame Canada, but still.

My little town gave Howard Dean and George Bush about the same amout (a bit over $10,000), but John Kerry took in almost $50,000.

So Massachusetts is a bit enthusiastic at this point!

And they used their entitlements* to do it. Gotta spend money to make money, I always say!

*Your tax dollars.

P.S. What S.F. neighborhood goes 20% to Bush? Walnut Creek?

I take it you are all approximating or is there some sort of summary on the chart? It should surprise no one to know that GWB got by far the most money from my zip code. this despite the high purported urban bohemian quotient there from grinchy's link yesterday. Maybe it is because (a) I live in Dallas and (b) I share my zip code with the residents of Highland Park (I'm on the border, but not one of them). For the non-Texans out there, basically similar to Highland Park in Illinois. For more reference, it is in central Dallas, but has made itself a separate jurisdiction for school purposes and people pay a premium of at least $250k per home lot there just in order to put their kids in the schools.

And every attorney whose records I viewed on that site contributed to Bush. And some of them are name partners in local firms (handy to have their addresses on public database, non?).

However I'm moving out to go live in the hood among democrat supporters next month. Well as much among democrat supporters as you can get in Dallas at least. Phew.
