Has anyone tried to start a book club on this board. I tried this once on the Spanky board but I will try it again. Has anyone read "Empire of the Word" by Nicholas Ostler. If not anyone want to read it so we can bore people by talking about it. I started it last night and it was awesome. I think I am going to spend most of the weekend reading it. The book is about the history of languages. I think this subject is critical to history and greatly overlooked. Which languages dominate says a lot about which people and cultures dominate.

I am sorry, was there more? I redacted the name of the Mod I wanted to ignore. Is there something in this PM that you did not want made public? I just wanted to show that you sanctioned the petition, so as to make it more legit than the Insurgency

I just think it's funny how you use what you want and keep out the rest. Why are you willing to tell everyone (for the millionth time) that you want to ignore slave, but are unwilling to say the name of the mod you had me put on ignore?

And I'm not sanctioning anything.

At any rate, the policy is under review. If it will get you to shut the fuck up, we'll probably change it. But I'm wondering what you'll bitch about when you have everyone on ignore.
