Give and talk about it all you like. But stop trying to arm twist or shame. It creeps me out.
ETA: And you ought to know Hank is fucking with you. I mean, come on... he’s drowning you on a long line here.

I wasn't fucking with him. It started as well-intended advice, not unlike you and ncs have now delivered. He then turned that into saying I must not give anything. To anyone thinking, that is absurd, of course- but the personal attack was really out of line.

Have you caught General Honore yet? That guy will get shit done, and not take shit while doing it. I thought he was going to beat up a reporter the other day.

In other news . . .
- a devastating assessment of the U.N. oil-for-food program in Iraq, investigators strongly criticized Secretary-General Kofi Annan, his deputy and the Security Council for allowing Saddam Hussein to bilk $10.2 billion from the giant humanitarian operation and oil smuggling operations.
Annan said he took personal responsibility for the lapses but he stressed he had no plans to resign. "The report is critical of me personally, and I accept the criticism," he said.
The Independent Inquiry Committee's report on the oil-for-food program said those managing the program _ including U.N. member states and the world body's staff _ failed the ideals of the United Nations, ignoring clear evidence of corruption and waste that flourished after it was created in 1996 to help ordinary Iraqis.
"The inescapable conclusion from the committee's work is that the United Nations organization needs thorough reform _ and it needs it urgently," the report said.

Annan should resign.
Or be given a Presidential Medal of Freedom. Whichever.

Chertoff is awful. I know he was brought in to cover for Brown, who is clearly incompetent, but his answers at the initial press conference that he held were embarrassing. I find the whole "two catastrophes" line of reasoning that he trotted out to be flawed and I'm saddened that he even tried to pass it off. And telling the reporter who asked why the failure of the levees was not a foreseeable effect of the hurricane that he was being argumentative was idiocy. It was in their fucking plan a year ago.
I really haven't heard much out of the governor. I wouldn't assume that a state such as Louisiana would have a lot in the way of resources to tap into to help matters now, but maybe I'm wrong. I mean, California had to max out FEMA help after the Northridge earthquake and Louisiana is no California in terms of resources.
The mayor's actions before the hurricane hit were clearly lacking, but I'm not sure what he could be doing post-disaster to make things better. I think begging for state and federal aid is about all he has in his bag of tricks at this point. Maybe also begging police to return to duty.
ETF bag of tricks, not book of tricks.

Yes, and no. Shrieking yes, shrill probably, harpies no; so the ultimate answer is no. The reason is the combo of the three carries a certain sexist resonance that would not ring as well when used in relation to a man. Is that the answer you were looking for?

Now when will you agree, and call for Bush's resignation.

When he does or fails to do something that warrants his resignation. So far I have not seen the requisite act or omission.

Senator Landrieu violated the law. When will she be appropriately prosecuted and censured by the Senate?
As for Nagin, he couldn't cut it as a Republican so we kicked him to the Dems curb. Sloppy seconds for you folks.

Okay, now I don't really think this is Ty. Even @ 50, I don't see him making big ass jokes.
