You think when he bought his ranch (read: background scenery) it came with an atlas?

Dems try Hatchet Job on nader
I find this very disturbing, but quite predictable from the party that was sucessful at barring so many military voters in 2000 for absurd reasons. what was it Clinton said " Sure giving secrets to the Chinese was illegal, but it was important I win."

I'm suggesting that when Mr. Bush takes a vacation, as he has frequently done, I doubt he spends it perusing maps of the Middle East. I forgot there were Texans here -- I'll try to keep it really, really simple so you can follow along.

The pentagon ate my microfilm
Back when folks were curious about the nature of the president's national guard service, we were assured by the WH that they had produced all relevant documents proving Bush's fulfillment of his duties. To me this would imply that they looked through the files and divulged everything they had on the question. But apparently that's not the case, because it took the filing of a lawsuit weeks later for the admin to go look into the files and find out that, lo and behold, the microfilmed documents have been destroyed.
I don't have much editorializing to do here. I am surprised, yet not surprised.

Pray tell, what in that article do you find disturbing? Nader apparently submitted papers in Arizona that were full of fraudulent signatures -- while he says the Democrats challenged him on a "technicality," his lawyers apparently conceded that they didn't have enough valid signatures. I can't believe you made me read a page from FOX News, and then there wasn't even anything in the story. Now my machine has a FOX cookie on it. I feel so dirty.

I've seen Nader interviewed on this, and if I understand him correctly (he is a bit incoherent) apparently many of the fraudulent were by DEM placed operatives.

It said the payroll records of "numerous service members," including former First Lt. Bush, had been ruined in 1996 and 1997 by the Defense Finance and Accounting Service during a project to salvage deteriorating microfilm. No back-up paper copies could be found, it added in notices dated June 25.
There were massive fuck ups going on at that time. this is nothing. 96 and 97* the President was basically allowing an extreme new threat to our very existance grow unchecked. He was apparently lulled into complacency because his predecessor had killed the prior threat.
*Larry, you know I love you, but if Ty brought this to Sidd in a brief Sidd would spazz. Sometimes a good headline has bad underlying facts and you gotta pass.

Who knows, maybe the documents will show up on Hillary's nightstand in 2 or 3 years.
