OTOH, we have to listen to Ty's incessant rants about the war in Iraq being a conspiracy to steal Iraq's oil.

It is a double edged sword over there on the PB, but the pictures make it all worth it.

Spelling bee

For those of you with tvs, the Spelling Bee championship is going to start up again tomorrow. We ended today on Round 4, and there are 70 spellers left.

I was checking out the previous rounds, and some of the mistakes are inexcusable (eg 14 year old missing shazam, I hope he at least went out with a flourish) and some of the words didn't look like they were real words. Also, there are a lot of repeat kids from last year. I'm glad to see that little Samir Patel is back. He's the Texas kid that missed boudin last year, and lost in the second to last round. He's the only Texan left, so obviously, I've got to root for him.

This talk about moisturizers could be much better. Here's a poll:

Astroglide, Liquid Silk or something else?

If it costs alot, don't bother. Check the ingredients and then find yourself a drug store brand with the same or very similar ingredients in a similar order. The ingredients in these products are fairly cheap and the cheaper brands have the same ingredients as the more expensive brands.

Read the label and save yourself some money.

I need a basis of comparison. What's their SPF?

Here we go, back to anal sex again. Anyone care to guess what the average interval between anal sex discussions on the FB is?

City of Brotherly Love Kicks Off Gay Ad Campaign

PHILADELPHIA (Reuters) - Philadelphia, the City of Brotherly Love, has launched the first U.S. television advertising campaign to promote a city as a gay destination, officials said on Wednesday.

In the television commercial, a young man in colonial attire writes a letter inviting his beloved to meet him at Independence Hall, one of the city's main tourist attractions.

The man is approached by a woman who glances at him but passes by before another man greets the letter writer and accepts flowers.

The spot emphasizes the city's historic attractions and its friendliness to gay travelers and is part of a three-year, $1 million campaign using the slogan "Philadelphia - Get Your History Straight and Your Nightlife Gay."

This reminds me of the time I was playing Trivial Pursuit in college with my roommate (we were some crazy gals -- let me tell you!). The question was "What is known as the 'City of Brotherly Love'?". I didn't know, so I took a guess, and said, "Athens?".

She laughed so hard, she gave me the point (or at least, my turn wasn't over -- I think that's how you play) for my wrong (but creative!) answer.

Real Lawyers to Compete in TV Series
  • LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - TV producer David E. Kelley, an outspoken opponent of "reality" television, has bowed to the genre's popularity by developing a drama with real lawyers, Daily Variety said in its Wednesday edition.

Kelley, who will serve as a consulting producer, will create a law firm whose members will try real civil cases through binding arbitration overseen by current or former judges, the Hollywood trade paper said. Lawyers will be fired along the way, leaving an eventual winner.

NBC, a unit of General Electric Co., has given the go-ahead to eight episodes of the as-yet-untitled project.

"In success we should be as enlightening as we are entertaining," Kelley, a former attorney who created the Emmy-winning legal drama "The Practice," was quoted as saying in Daily Variety. "In failure, we'll stink."

Kelley attracted headlines last year by satirizing reality TV during an episode of "The Practice." He told the paper that he was still not a fan of such shows, especially those "that pander to the lowest common denominator."

My skin is oily in the "T-Zone" and it has not caused me any breakouts. I've been using it for over a year.
The MD is quite good. The cleanser with alpha hydroxy rocks. They sell it at Nordstrom Spa for a small fortune. Totally worth it.

And MR, if you ask the girls real nice at the Lovers Pantry, they'll tell you there is no substitute for astroglide.

Alpha hydroxys are so cheap and if you are paying a small fortune for it, you are a fool. You can buy products with the same ingredients as the expensive brands for so much less. You just need to read the label.

A fool and his money are soon parted.

Whatever

The MD vitamin C treatment is excellent, also. Also worth the $80.

Anyone listen to the Enron tapes?
