It tastes like crap. But it energized you? Weird. It does nothing to me and I can't drink two consecutive cups of coffee w/out feeling like I'm going to have a heart attack.

Thanks for the reference.

My favorite was an NPR story a few years ago (1998) about this basketball prospect from Dublin who was going to play for Boston.

His one condition was that they change the pronunciation of the team from Sell-tics to Kell-tics.

They had professors on dicussing the the history of word. The whole thing was fascinating.

I bought it hook, line, and sinker. I mentioned it a few weeks later to someone who looked at me as if I had three heads.

April Fools

Anyone want to work for Google on the moon?

Job Description

Not very subtle, but I appreaciate the effort.

Thanks for reminding me of the Celtic one, I had forgotten about it. Didn't make much of an impact here in Beantown but we chuckled anyway.

As I have noted before, I enjoy the occasional Red Bull and vodka and sometimes have Red Bull before soccer, biking, or other athletic activities . . . . O.K., SPIN CLASS, GET OFF MY BACK. Red Bull only has 80 mg of caffeine, compared to 50 for a regular soda, and more than that for coffee. I do not drink coffee, and have little tolerance for caffeine, but it does not really affect me that much. I can have one before an evening soccer game or spin class and sleep with no problem. People act like you are mainlining Vivarin when you drink it - I don't get it.

It does taste like crap, though. Tasty with vodka, though.

I didn't say good speed. Or decent speed. I said bad spped.

Which means I feel jittery, scattered and uncoordinated. But not energized.

I will never drink that shit again.

Dissent. It tastes like watery, metallic raspberry liquor.

Oh, Tangy, c'mon. It's Friday night. You've had a rough week - not enough sleep. You are out at the club. It's getting on 1:00 a.m., and the band/DJ you have some to see has not even started yet. I got three words for you. Stoli Red Bull. Come to the dark side.

I've heard the taste described as liquid sweet tarts, and I don't think that's far off. Maybe with a little medicinal edge.

But PLF's right, it works well with vodka. My Vegas drink of choice.

This reminds me of the time my roommate (not exactly the sharpest knife in the drawer, the brightest star in the firmament or any other hackneyed cliche you can think of) told me of the new food offering at McDonalds -- called McSushi.

She had seen a SNL parody commercial and thought it was twooo.

This is what two cups of coffee does to me. And yet Red Bull does nothing. I've tried the sugar-free version. Bad, but not AS bad. The regular version is just too sweet. But I can't drink regular Coke or Pepsi either. Too sweet.

Actually, it tastes like chalky sweettarts. It is tasty with vodka, however. Not sure if it is tasty with PLF since I have never drunk a PLF-Red Bull.
