Question for the men

I mean, it's one thing to call someone a pussy, or to use pussy in some other metaphorical sense. But this particular use was decidedly non-metaphorical. Somewhere out there there was a real pussy whose ears were burning.

tree question: what was the wife's injury?
forest question: you did PI work?

I rarely wear suits anymore (especially brown wool!!) but I just got a very dark brown wool/cashmere suit b/c the lines on it were so simple and flattering. It's high endish, the lining is perfect so the fabric sits very flat, the jacket is shortish with one button and the skirt is right around the knee. The question: what footwear? I hate wearing pumps these days unless they are sexy t-straps or something interesting. I'd like to wear boots. Do I go with a brown? Heel or no heel, or wedge? Leather or suede? (The fabric is wool and cashmere).
Thanks.

Brown, leather, tall and heel.
Or you could do flat the riding boots, but tall and brown leather.
Gimme a minute and I can find links.
Ooh. I found suede and leather.

What about something in a tweed or animal print? I think suede would be great with the fabric but probably not brown -- it might compete too much. You need something to complement the richness of the suit. Some contrast.
I'm not sure I like the shape of this shoe - I'd have to see it on a foot -- but maybe it's your style:

I have both of these pairs:
Both are quite comfortable (especially the second pair). I also recently got a pair of Clark Artisan T straps that I like a lot but I can't find a picture of them online.

MMm I like J. Jill a lot. It reminds me of Hanna Andersson. [the women's clothes]
By the way the little girl clothes from there are SO CUTE. I can't wait until she can fit into Mini Boden.
OMG they have Boden baby!

Police
I saw the Police in concert last night. I've seen Sting many times, but never the Police, as they broke up when I was in high school. Anyway, as a foolish young girl, I thought Sting was the hot one, despite his at-times preposterous lyrics (I can't believe cough/Nabokov passed the laugh test, but "the Russians love their children, too" is also pretty fucking lame) and overall Stingalingadingdong-osity. But now in my dotage I have a rather surprising crush on Stewart Copeland, even though he's in his 50s and was wearing a ridiculous headband and some type of white pants (either sweats or jeans so faded they were nearly white) and he makes really goofy expressions with his mouth when he plays (kind of like my brother would do when playing Atari -- you know, tongue off to the side, what is that about?).
Anyway, he's extremely energetic and charismatic, and he reminds me of Hugh Laurie, who is just ridiculously sexy.
Sting must have made a deal with the devil to age as well as he does. Either that, or Yoga is truly magic. But he has no sex appeal to me anymore.
It was a good show. Very pleasant not to hear any of Sting's solo stuff. And for once, he didn't whine like a bitch before playing "Roxanne," like he has done every other time I've seen him in concert. It's a song I could easily do without, but the crowd always wants to hear it, and it's kind of annoying to hear him complain about playing it, as if he were amending the same goddamned memo for a different client for the umpteenth time.

RP's first recommendation is AWESOME. I like the shoes of her second one, but not so much with what you describe (though I may be visualizing the suit other than how it is).
I like the look of pump-ish shoes with platforms in the front part with thin socks or patterned socks (not tube socks, obviously, but herringbone or lines). This is the idea, but I'm not totally sold on this designer's "vision" and these particular colors wouldn't work (it sounds like), but the look is modern and interesting:
You could also go the more traditional boot route (depending on the skirt's flare -- not flair -- if the flat/low heel works):
or
