No, what's really crazy is the amount I also spend on electric massager attachments and greeting cards featuring chimps and cats at the West Covina Tar-zhay.

Fuck you Monty, but thanks for letting me play the game.
As you know, we're all winners inside. As long as we have each other - you know - family is most important. And you and me and Montecore and everyone but the Petunia, we're all good.

I was promised a version of the home game, and a year's supply of used underwear from EBay.

I Wanted to Love the 80s Strikes Out
For anyone who's happened to watch I Love the 80s Strike Back:
Has there ever been a more ridiculous crop of 'celebrity' commentators? I admit to knowing who most of them were, but they weren't exactly famous, notorious, talented or interesting.
By comparison with the others, Gilbert Gottfried was fabulous. Annoying but (relatively) fabulous.
Boy George is the creepiest person alive.
I would like to have written down the comment made re: Def Leppard -- something about granulated sugar in the asscrack.
The brat pack was overrated.
I'm still hoping for the return of the Flock of Seagulls haircut.

And to finish the thought, no I'm not surprised to see Hetherington on the list. He's as cheatery as cheaters come.
And in response to the other question, I'm not in Van Nuys (or the valley), though I occasionally go to "Humphrey Yogart" to get Carbolite and other tasty low carb products. Mmmmm, Malitol. Mrs. Str8 and I once bought about $180 worth of treats there (mostly 'La Nouba" bars), and asked if we were setting a record. We were told that a guy from SF routinely drops upwards of $800 at a time on low carb stuff whilst in town on business. Crazy.

So you're not out there sucking up the smoke and ashes.
That's good. Did they ever figure out who started it?

This would be an ideal conversation to have via PM. If you did that sort of thing. Which, as others have mentioned, is not any more detectable to your IT people than posting here in the first place is.
Carry on.

Poll: Most underrated comedy
Since I tend to agree that "Fargo" was overrated, I ask you: Which film comedies are underappreciated?
I'd have to say I wish "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid" (1982) got more love, even if it was just from cult film noir weirdos.
I also think "The Tall Guy" (1989) sank too quickly without a trace, considering the fact that it has (1) some of the funniest inside jokes about the theater ever made, and (2) Emma Thompson's TITS. I imagine the moviegoing public couldn't see Jeff Goldblum in a romantic comedy so soon after "The Fly" and "Earth Girls Are Easy." Or at all. But it's worth it just to see the musical based on "The Elephant Man" (named, of course, "Elephant!").
There are probably many others, but I can't think of them right now. And now, just because everyone else is doing it:

Yes, NFH, mind Casey, please do not interrupt the conversation flow between and among our newest posters, to whom I would like to say, welcome to the fray, it's so nice to have new voices in the community!
