The most difficult thing was getting our city friends (i.e., almost all of our friends) to experience a zip code change for an evening. Being the gracious hosts we are, they now jump at every chance to come up and see us.

There's nothing worse than women who think it's some sort of daring, Nazi-appeal sexy to shave off their brows and draw them in. Like Madonna in her Dita/Wanna-Be-Dietrich phase.

Not sexy under any circumstances and only makes you look old which sucks because I hear most don't grow back. BTW, I just came across this pic of what Angelina Jolie would look like without eyebrows and oh, that little tart had just better be careful around grills and any source of fire.

I think part of the issue with scary vampire VN wife is that they are so arched -- they dip down so far toward her nose. It emphasizes her sharp longish nose. While I am not a fan of the skinny eyebrow, Madonna's look way, way better than the scary woman's.

Nah, Madonna was just more careful how she was photographed during her eyebrow-less phase. She looked AWFUL.

ETA: But she sure looked good here NOT WORK APPROPRIATE.

In other news, some 4-year-old's song about crocodiles has topped the German pop charts, beating out such music geniuses as Kylie Minogue and Robbie Williams (whoever that is): http://www.ananova.com/entertainment...ertainment.pop (article)

Excuse me? Robbie Williams (whoever that is?) He's a bona fide UK pop-star who did that song about Angels a few years back. He also does lots of covers of standards. Very popular outside the lower 48.

Those are not even narrow eyebrows, you fucking moron. Nor do they dip alarmingly far down toward the bridge of her nose.

I think you may have just denied some poor Boston-born guy some string-free sex.

He also did "Millennium" which used a terrific sample from the Bond theme "You Only Live Twice".

I saw him most recently in De-Lovely, which, despite my reservations going in, was a pretty good movie.*

*I was glad to have listened to Red Hot +Blue quite a bit in high school.

Yeah yeah yeah. And David Hasselhoff is big in Germany. Big fricken deal, Maple Boy.

Oh, and in the day late and a Euro short department, how could I have forgotten these guys? And why did I remember them today?
