Before I had lasik I wore hard lenses. In college I was living in this very pitty house. The bathroom sink was semi-clogged all the time. One night we're getting ready for a party and my only right lens goes down the drain- like a half hour before the party. I couldn't see w/o it, and it was going to be a very good party.

I figured there was a good chance it caught in gunk, but the only wrench we had wouldn't open the trap- in fact the pipes almost seemed to break, and then we'd have a water hazard instead of a party.

I snaked a coat hanger down an speared the lens and was able to pull it out. Needle in a haystack. It was from Ripley's.
