Kerning Down the Finish Line
Think of the federal matching funds that would be saved! We could use them to pay a fraction of one day's interest on the debt!
I don't recognize who this pollster is, but I was confused by his statement at the end. "The race is over -- and we've got bigger problems than that."
Huh? The Dems have bigger problems than the forgeries? Or the Dems have bigger problems than losing the race?
And how does predicting that Rather bringing down the Democratic nominee "save the party by telling the truth?"
Weird.

- Caddell said he wasn't trying to sensationalize the issue, explaining that instead "I'm trying to save my party, you know, by telling the truth."
I'm all for democracy and speaking out, but I'm getting a little tired of all the large-d Democrats who keep trying to save the party by "telling the truth." Put a sock in it. Enough with the public hand-wringing.

there's not one funny thing about this Ty. they let a dozen or so mothers leave with 1 kid- pick- sophie's choice. they raped 12 and 13 year olds. your joke photo is inappropriate.
As opposed to the big tour of Russia that the Chechan bodies have been taken on?

They're still getting over decades of Communism -- who are we to question their strange customs and mores? Take it up with the Russian government.

That's how i read it. I was happy to see a Dem acknowledge that Bush second term doesn't equal armageddonand and that there could be a "bigger problem."

Exactly. they're not warmongers despite your dogma.
On the other hand what you say is false. A detailed plan to take out Afghanistan hit Rice's desk on September 9 or 10th. I remember you claimed it was the same basic plan that Clinton had ignored for a few years, but the point is Bush's team was willing to accept they may have to do it.

If you think that a detailed plan to take out Afghanistan was on Condi Rice's desk a day or two before September 11, I begin to understand how you could be a Bush supporter. Had that been remotely true, maybe I could support the guy too. Please entertain the possibility that if you are wrong about this, you are wrong about other important things as well.

I remember your ass seconding this but claiming it was Clark's plan or whoever was the big cheese anti-terrorism guy. You are about to learn the same lesson JFK has learned. your own word will come back to haunt you.

Clarke had a plan. But (1) it moved from desk to desk in the White House during 2001 without anything ever happening -- appropriation of money, etc. -- so its status as of 9/10/01 is not exactly a credit to the Bush Administration as much as a reflection of the inattention to and disinterest in Al Qaeda; and (2) it wasn't a plan to invade Afghanistan.

The lesson being that when debating a conservative, he can say all sorts of dumb things without anyone noticing, but if you can be accused of contradicting yourself, you stand to lose regardless?

So Sorry!
For all I know, this is a fake, but if it's not.....read it slowly and admit that it makes you feel a teeny bit better.
