Iraqi politician wants US to quit jails-paper

http://cnn.netscape.cnn.com/ns/news/...&w=RTR&coview=
  • LONDON, May 12 (Reuters) - An Iraqi tipped as possible president of an interim government has called for the United States to cede control of Iraq's prisons when the U.S.-led coalition hands over power in six weeks, Britain's Times newspaper said on Thursday.

Iraq's U.S. occupiers are determined to formally give power to an Iraqi interim government on June 30, though Washington has said the new government's sovereignty will be limited, particularly in military and security affairs.

"All prisons should be under the control of a sovereign Iraqi government, there is no question about that," Adnan Pachachi told The Times.

Pachachi, a member of the U.S.-appointed Iraqi Governing Council who others on that body have indicated could serve as president, is also in favour of demolishing Baghdad's Abu Ghraib prison.

Pictures of grinning U.S. soldiers abusing naked Iraqis at the prison -- once used by Saddam Hussein's torturers -- have ignited international outrage.

Pachachi also envisaged a diminished role for the coalition forces after the handover of power.

"It will no longer be a U.S. army or a British army but a multilateral force under the umbrella of the United Nations with a unified command, in which Iraqi forces will play a significant part," he said.

Contemporary Arab thought?? There's an oxymoron. Crawl back in your hole pandaboy. Muslimic culture and uncivilization is an unmitigated disaster. The Turkish are the only group of Islamics, and they are half-hearted at that, which have proven to be progressive enough to be recognized as living in the contemporary world. The rest of these sycophantic followers of the pedophillic prophet have failed miserably to follow any normal evolutionary track or progress in the least since oh around 1300 AD, give or take.

With the horrific killing of Nick Berg we have come face to face with the demons from the fire-pit. Islamofacists are a far worse strain of evil than any Euro-Fascist or Euro-Commie.

My only hope is based on the fact that America prospers due to the guiding hand of a benevolent G-d and with his original progency in Israel we can pass the test of defeating these devils.

And when that day comes woe unto all those spineless liberal freaks who have turncoated on their nation and now are employed as rear guard apologists for the terrorists. Woe indeed.

I keep a clipping of this quote taped to my computer monitor (outable, but who gives a rats wetass, I'm a partner, they can't fire me) and will share it with you here.

Its from my hometown rag, the Boston Globe,

“If she had lived, Mary Jo Kopechne would be 62 years old.
Through his tireless work as a legislator, Edward Kennedy would have brought comfort to her in her old age as she watched him encourage the butchering of Jews and Americans around the world safe while reading the Boston Globe (and its pro-al Qaeda propaganda).

– Charles Pierce, January 5, 2003

Amen.

I still don't understand how the right-wing conspiracy gets all the pundits and politicians and Drudge and the "journalists" at FOX and everyone singing from the same sheet. Please explain.

No one knows, which is the beginning of Kerry's downfall as the more people actually learn about JFKerry, the more they will revile him.

Abraham Lincoln was reputed to have enjoyed, and often repeated, the following anecdote about George Washington, which he in turn attributed to Revolutionary War hero Ethan Allen.

During a post-war visit to England, Col. Allen's hosts, still stinging from the redcoats' thrashing at the hands of their betters, hung a picture of Washington in the outhouse in order to tease their American guest. After noting Col. Allen's return from an outhouse visit, they asked him what he thought of its placement. Allen announced this was highly appropriate, because "there is nothing that will Make an Englishman Shit so quick as the sight of Genl Washington".[1]
