Why is everyone carrying on like a bunch of preschoolers talking about poop?
I have a serious fashion question...I keep seeing lots of people in multi-colored striped shirts....is everyone going to be wearing these this season? I liked the first one I saw, but now I've seen like 30 of them am I'm ready to puke rainbow stripes all over them.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

I don't remember it, but I have been busy these last few weeks and haven't had time to work on my indexed Lawtalkers journal. I also ran out of the multicolored post it flags and I just can't work without them. So somebody explain, or post a link, or something.

Did anyone else watch the New Americans series on PBS this week? It was a really fascinating documentary/series/whatever, but somehow the segments just went on too long (or were on too late, maybe). I kept having to crap out and go to bed about 1/2 an hour before they ended. Is it me, or the series? 9-12 watching people go about their daily lives with subtitles may be a bit much, but 9-11 I feel I should have been able to handle with no problem. Hmmm.
South Park - the Passion - I am now dying for my deal to heat up so I can use the phrase "Bring it? I brought it, put it on the table and opened it up, bitch!"
Wonderfalls - wtf? I want to like this show but somehow I am completely unable to get into it.

That was a surprise, I though Harvard was gone for sure. Anyone else get the distinct impression that, "live wire" justification nwst, Trump fired Bumpkin purely because, despite the fact that he was a more sucessful leader and better performing candidate, there was just no way T was gonna fire a Harvard MBA in favor of a HS grad? Particularly peculiar in that one of the reasons Troy kept kicking ass was that the other players kept underestimating him because of his accent/superficial lack of sophistication. (In fact, the main sign I've seen of Kwami's intelligence & ability was that he didn't make that mistake.)

I've seen lots of horizontally striped scarves about, leftover from last winter, but I haven't noted the shirts - do you mean horizontally striped knitted shirts, or do you mean multicolored vertically or diagonally striped oxford shirts (which I have seen)? I think the oxfords are sort of around for this summer.

vertical; oxford-type. But they're everywhere this season. I even saw them in the outlet stores already! Destiend for the j-crew outlet before the trend has even hit its season.

More spoiler.
I was surprised too. I figure Troy had Trump as snowed as he had everyone else with his fake, "I'm just a country-cave-business-man, your big words frighten me" attitude. But I couldn't believe he dragged Kwame in there with him. And then to tell Trump that he had no real formal education besides Trump's "The Art of the Deal" to guide him was just too much. Maybe even for Trump who loves getting his ass kissed more than the partners at my firm (if you can believe that).
I think Amy wins the whole thing. And she deserves it. I don't know why she and everyone else is so impressed with Bill. He hasn't shown me anything.
Amy and weird-facial-expression guy won by accident yesterday. If I had a guy come in who wanted to spend big money on the space but needed a few more hours on the lease, I would have called Trump on his celly to get the approval. They should have lost. Who the hell throws a New Year's party that ends at fucking midnight?

Yeah, the s/o and I were both surprised and thought that Kwami stayed and Troy went mainly because of Troy's lack of a degree. We actually thought Kwami should have gone instead of Heidi the other week. Troy has led a lot more and though he has had his mistakes at least he is trying. Kwami, it seems to me, is just sort of there.
Edited to say, I agree, Amy seems the likely choice. Bill hasn't done much and Nick is a moron.

Well, if they're on sale already I might pick a couple up, they'll look good under a navy blazer while sitting around on the lawn at my in-laws place drinking Pimms watching everyone practice their drives in the back pasture (and make me easily spotable when I drunkenly get lost hunting down the balls in the woods after).
It's part of the general '20 fantasia/preppy revivial going on. Even Lili Pulitzer is back (as in "cool," not with the people who never stopped wearing her anyway), which goes a long way towards explaining the obnoxious color.

They're actually very attractive as the latest trend in wrapping paper. On a moving human being though, especially the stacked, you get this wavy optical illusion as the fabric shifts that really makes me dizzy.
AON, my friends and I are hosting an accessories swap next weekend, no 80s rejects or discount rack crap allowed. If these people have any taste in handbags or silk scarves, they're mine.
