Perhaps you would be interested in a victim's statement. A friend forwarded me the following via email, which purportedly may be an actual email from the great beyond from Ms. Kopechne:
[b]subject: Remember Me?
From: Mary Jo Kopechne
to: the political naifs of the modern age, eg: Sexual Panda

Technical analysis of this letter using the Truthinator tool on the website www.bushisevilrepublicanssuck.com strongly indicates it is not the work of MJK from beyond, but is in fact from Billy Joe Bob Henderson, a laid-off convenience store clerk living in the Shady Acres Mobile Park and Bowlerama in Walcott, Alabama. I suspect this is yet another bogus internet email hoax by a freedom-hating misogynistic xenophobic Free Republic addict.

I sent my letter of outrage, but it turned up missing. I suspect it is in Syria with Iraq's wmds, the functioning part of Terri Schiavo's brain, and Juanita Broaddrick's rape kit.

You truly have no respect. How sad. I wonder what you would say if she had been your sister or your daughter. I wonder if it would be so lol funny to you then the Ted and his family abused their power and his political office to evade justice.
Justice becomes such an exalted virtue, except in something as minor as the murder of one of the woman the Kennedy men used as sex toys.
Of course perhaps it is justifiable homocide if a Kennedy is a perpetrator. I am reminded of Charles Pierce's quote from a Boston Globe magazine article from 2002:
"If she had lived, Mary Jo Kopechne would be 62 years old. Through his tireless work as a legislator, Edward Kennedy would have brought comfort to her in her old age."

In fairness, in addition to remembering Ms. Kopechne today, we should also have a moment of silence to honour and reflect the reason she had to die such a brutal and cruel death:
the baby doe-kopechne-kennedy, which she was carrying whom Teddy Kennedy felt that he had to abort since she refused his culture of death request to "voluntarily" undertake the same.
May God have mercy. Amen.

Oh, and credible evidence of Wilson's partisanship prior to Rove's outing of Plame.

Since you are so concerned about the MJK's demise, and the reasons behind the accident, I suggest you ponder why it is that W has never fully explained where he was the night of her death. Was Kennedy's the only car on the bridge that night, or (as some suggest) did a drunken W run them off the road? Remember, there is actual evidence that W has driven while drunk. And whose baby was it, really? Before you answer, remember Robin Garner, who dated W in the early '70s, and ask yourself - baby doe kopechne-bush?

The culture of death that you wallow in has truly deadened any sense of compassion and humanity that you may have once had. No wonder the Democrats are able to sleep at night knowing that they support racists and woman&baby-killers.

Restoring honor and dignity to the White House!
It's a sad, sad day for those who looked forward to the return of integrity to the White House.
- Asked whether he still intends to fire anyone involved in the leak case "regardless of whether a crime was committed" and whether he was displeased that Rove told a reporter that Wilson's wife worked for the CIA, Bush said: "We have a serious ongoing investigation here. And it's being played out in the press. And I think it's best that people wait until the investigation is complete before you jump to conclusions. I will do so as well. I don't know all the facts, and I want to know all the facts."
Bush added, "I would like this to end as quickly as possible so we know the facts. And if someone committed a crime, they will no longer work in my administration."
***
Bush has previously indicated that he would fire anyone who leaked Plame's identity.
In 2003, White House spokesman Scott McClellan said the suggestion that Rove was involved in the leak was "ridiculous."
McClellan said in a Sept. 29, 2003, briefing: "The president has set high standards, the highest of standards, for people in his administration. He's made it very clear to people in his administration that he expects them to adhere to the highest standards of conduct. If anyone in this administration was involved in it, they would no longer be in this administration."
In June 2004, Bush replied "yes" when asked if he would fire anyone who leaked the agent's name.
In other statements, Bush has pledged to "take the appropriate action" if anyone in his administration leaked classified information.
It's becoming Clintonesque -- or, dare I say it? Kerry-ist?

As I've said before, Penske, you are perhaps the most miserable little shit I've run across on this board, or in any other forum.
But I suppose this is just the core principal of the Republican Party: If you oppose anything Bush wants, does, or says, then you are WITH THE TERRORISTS.

You are being ridiculous. There was no leak because she had already been "outed" years before. So it makes sense for the standard to change.
Given all that Slave and I have posted on this topic, the only conclusion I can come to on this is that y'all are just trying to get a rise out of us. Great. It's worked.

Slave is confident that the Bush Admin is so incompetent that it would have appointed a fellow incompetent because his wife thought it would be a good idea.

You've done a good job regurgitating "leaks" from Rove's lawyer. But you still haven't explained why, if what you say is true, the CIA referred the case to DOJ for investigation.

Aw, c'mon -- the CIA thought the case for Iraqi WMDs was a "slam-dunk." Can you really use their judgment as a guage?

That was just Tenet. Had the whole Agency thought that it would have been Medals of Freedom all around.
