Dimwit- the reform the first article spoke of was of how the programs are monitored, not what flavors the programs come in. You honestly don't see the difference? Your article, mixing fact and opinion and all, might be very very insightful and important- BUT IT DOESN"T HAVE 2 FUCKS TO DO WITH THE REFORMS CLUB"S ARTICLE WAS TALKING ABOUT.
Honestly, how many people were surprised to hear Ty parks backwards and thinks it fine? Not me.

Out of curiosity, have you seen anything in the press suggesting that there were 50,000 or 60,000 people in New Orleans who would have gotten on schools buses to evacuate, and instead couldn't leave the city? 'Cause if that number of people were stuck there under those circumstances, I'd expect a lot of righteous indignation about it to be bubbling up in the stories written about the survivors, and I'm not seeing it.

The WSJ had an editorial on this just yesterday - praising Bolton's changes.
One of his deletions pertained to the draining of billions of dollars to be spent on temporary quarters - while they "upgrade" current headquarters on the East Side.
Since I only get the print version - I cant copy online in full. Anyone care to oblige? |

I thought that there were about 100,000 people stuck, no? Doesn't matter if they got on, once they declined the burden shifts, but they never had the opportutnity, despite the 2000 plan that clearly identifies the procedure. Still defending Nagin?

Please stop this insanity Ty. Your deflection of responsibility away from Nagin (and Blanco) to Bush and the Feds is an implicit defence. Your refusal to acknowledge the bus fiasco despite massive amounts of evidence is embarassing. Just admit that Nagin is guilty of being primarily responsible for the death and misery of many and we can move on.

Do you think the people who were standed in the Convention Center or Dome have been keeping up with the newspapers or watching lots of TV to know about the bus issue? Give Penske a half hour with a bullhorn in the Astrodome and you might see some indignation.

I must say, this visit hasn't proven to be what I'd expected. I thought it would be bittersweet seeing my younger self, and all my old internet "friends."
I knew I would disagree with many of the posts I had done, but frankly the magnitude of my erstwhile misdirection has almost become horrifying to me.
I believe I may delete the time travel software from my computer to protect my ego from further trauma.
