Say what you want about the tenets of National Socialism, but at least it was an ethos.

If you disagree, please indicate by ordering me a pizza during our next conference call. I promise that it will be OUR pizza.
I've always thought Spicolli and Bill Murray's charcters in Stripes overlapped. When Spicolli says "You dick" to ray Walston, its eerily similar to Murray stopping his cab on the bridge and telling that old crotchety bitch "You know what, I don't think I'm going to be your driver today.'

I will not address Dazed and Confused, except to say that having it permanently saved on my TiVo has wasted about 50 hours of my life in the past two years. Its almost surpassing Apocalypse Now Redux and Unforgiven as my favorite movie of all time. I am holding back my hand from the keys to keep from boring everyone with about 50 of my favorite quotes from the movie.

As to me getting maximum pay for minimum effort, I wish. I'd give a testicle and a few toes, perhaps even an eye, to not work again. Its the bane of my existence.

Yeah, both are overrated. Porn of either would be useless to me.
Rene is moderately cute. And Liv needs to go on Rene's blow and smokes diet. She's looking like she's been hanging with the Keebler Elves a but too much these days.

Like James Dean in Rebel Without a Cause. Like the mirrored sunglassed cop in Cool Hand Luke. Like Matt McCaughnehey in Dazed and Confused. Like the dude who played The Dude.

Only a truly great actor can take a throwaway role and make it truly memorable. Fast Times had immeasurable appeal. Would it have had such appeal, if, when Judge Reinhold's character (the ever responsible Brad) asked Spicollli after receiving a handful of change, "Why don't you get a job, Spicolli?" Spicolli answers, innocently, without a hint of sarcasm, "What for?"

He's got his toasty buds. His tasty waves. What more does he need? Spicolli isn't going to get caught on the endless cycle of work-produce-consume. He just is. He produces to meet his needs. Because if they weren't good enough, they wouldn't be called minimums.

And isn't that what we're all here for? Maximum $$$ at minimal effort? Thank you for this. With out Penn's Spicolli, there would be no Pitt's Floyd.

Can't they both just get along? (Really, really, really well in their next movie?)

Amazingly enough, they appear to be about the same color.

Or perhaps they don't think Kerry is any more supportive of their position than Bush.
Or perhaps the issue has only just come to the forefront and they are conveying the message that it truimps other issues and are putting the smack down.

So you're saying certain gay people are voting GOP because the marriage amendment issue trumps other issues? I understand completely. Your logic is unassailable.
