I am not so sure it's less frustrating for the borrower. Maybe.

depends on how "frustrating" correlates with "expensive"

2 wins in a row baby. Could we see a 2005-Indians type August & September push?
Fuck, I hope not. I'm much more productive during the 4:00-7:00 p.m. hours with the Jays out of it.

It really amazing to watch on a day-to-day basis. Good writers who I like say that you can trace the collapse back to the KC series immediately before the break, where they lost the first two. But I think that's bullshit. They had an adequate homestand, including winning 3 of 4 against the Yanks, and were not out of it by any means (despite blowing lead after lead against Texas and Seattle). So then they go on the road, are 2-4 on the road trip in Seattle and Oakland, when along comes the last game of the Oakland series.
The Jays hadn't had an 8th or 9th inning comeback in about 3 months. However, down 3-2 against Huston Street in the top of the 9th, they rally for 3 runs and take a 5-3 lead. In comes B.J. Ryan. With one on and two out, Kotsay fouls off 10 pitches and works a walk. Next batter, Milton Bradley, hits a walk-off three run HR.
At that moment, I cursed my pledge to stop gambling. I wanted to take my house and bet it on the Yankees to sweep the next three against the Jays (and keep betting some of the profits against the Jays thereafter). Some teams, in some situations, can't shake off a defeat like that.

Suggestion: Don't ever try to negotiate changes to a pilot or test-option deal for an actor. It's like banging your head against a brick wall. Zero leverage, and they know it.

I went to one of the Seattle games where the Jays lost. I think it was 7-4. It was probably due in some part to my cosmic aura. Sorry about that.

Better yet -- just shoot me if I ever decide I want to do entertainment law. The egos are bad enough in the corporate world.

The obstreperous part, or the form thing?

I'll see that and raise you one:
even better, disembowel me with a butter knife if I ever decide to go into the law. It sucks.
Otoh, law school is okay, because a JD is a very versatile degree. there are all sorts of non-legal opportunities that it can open the door to. Like the barista door at Starbucks.

Oh, you mean the one where they fall a game short of the playoffs at the end of the season? And the tumble starting by losing to Kansas Fucking City?
You don't want that.

BTW, thanks for that. We needed some pressure at the end to rev up for the playoffs.
Sincerely,
Your World Champion Chicago White Sox
ETA: is it me, or does ESPN Classic play The Drive and The Fumble a disproportionately large number of times?
ETA2: this is a really cruel post, isn't it? Sorry.

If they would have beaten Tampa Bay earlier in the week, the final series would not have even been an issue.
No. your World Champion White Sox.
ETA: It's not just you -- but let's not forget The Shot either.
ETA2: Yes. And no, you are not.
