I taste-test new vodkas frequently at the neighborhood hangout. My new favorite is Three Olives Orange. The chocolate is also shockingly good. It has real flavor, unlike most flavored vodkas. If you love the flavor of absolut mandrin or ketel one citron, you might hate Three Olives.

ETA There is a new grape based vodka that tastes to me like paint thinner, but some people really like. The name is I think Ciroc, but I don't really remember. Any one like it?

All right, I'll defend the cosmo. They're pretty and yummy, and I like them at the same time and for the same reason I like wearing a flippy skirt and heels once a year. And I don't get HBO.

And if you're fussing up alcohol that deserves to be drunk neat with a long list of prissy demands, what's the difference between you and a chick? Just ask for the cute flamingo swizzle stick unabashedly, Sebby, and accept yourself.

If you're a chick, you're too green to deal with a martini, which advertises that you probably suck in the sack. Worse, you might think SATC is cool and secretly wish sarah Jessica Daltrey's character and her friends could actually be emulated realistically in real life. Either way, you ain't worth the breath most guys would have to waste...

Bourbon, on the other hand, advertises that you like to have a good time. You probably like fucking, and if you're a chick, you probably have non preblem telling the guy exactly how you like it. Bourbon is the cocaine of alcohol - it clarifies, amplifies and brings to the surface in glowing technicolor the elements of your personality you keep hidden. You are more the person you are in the midst of a bourbon binge than you are the sober button downed person at work. Liars don't drink bourbon.
Where would we be without you to spell this all out for us?

I like cosmos -- they're tasty! I can't drink martinis (note: not because I don't like them, they just make me so hammered so quickly that I cannot function.)** I'm not sure how that correlates with one's bedroom experience or lack thereof -- but I've never known you to be shy about proclaiming utterly ridiculous and overly broad statements as irrefutable truths, so I'll just chalk this up to that category.

SATC was cool -- it was "fantasy" in many respects, but most definitely connected to reality on certain levels. I'm not saying it was Proust, or anything particularly highbrow, but did resonate with me and many other women in tangible ways (my husband is similarly disdainful of it -- which, as his matches your evolved view of the world, makes me think there is something ever-so-slightly unsettling and/or threatening about it to men of your ilk -- and that I cannot explain.) I don't think it's that we want to BE those girls, but that aspects of each of them are recognizable in us and others we know. That's all -- it's not really that deep. And as to making decisions about whether a woman is "worth your breath)" based upon whether she enjoys a television show says a lot more about you than about any woman upon whom you would deign to spend your breath.

Now for the bourbon. Ick. If I'm going to intake calories, it's going to be on something I enjoy -- not to impress someone. I don't like bourbon any more. When I was younger and my metabolism was faster, I could drink anything and everything (and did.) However, bourbon has lost its appeal -- it tastes like what I imagine lighter fluid tastes like. My best friend (the one with the problems with the baby-talk guy) is from Kentucky -- and knows from bourbon. She's a real drinker too. She doesn't even like it anymore -- and believe me -- she's is JUST your type (well, from what you have represented about yourself here, anyway). Maybe someone once counseled you that you shouldn't qualify your statements, but when you make such pronouncements you just sound so goofy that no one can get past the ridiculousness to even begin to evaluate what you're saying.

You're welcome for the Herculean effort it took to get through this -- I'm such a peach, I know.

**Bringing to mind the old chestnut: Martinis: One is not enough, two is too much, and three is not nearly enough.

Edited to remove stray (sic). Sorry Seb.

I'd put it up against any decent vodka.
Yes. Monopolova. Esp. good in bloody maries.

She reportedly fooled around with Nick. Shows bad judgment. I'd fire her just for that.

PS. If anyone wants to know who has been rumored to be the winner (per my spoiler sites) for quite a while, PM me.

If we're doing this, then Nic Cage and his movie are really screwing up the parking in my neighborhood.

Ciroc is correct. Mr Man loves it. I don't like it as much as Monopolova. But I'm a cheap date.

I don't get that guy either. He seems to think he's such a great salesman and talks such a big game, but he has failed every time he's worked within his "strength," besides last night which was a total fluke. "You can put couches here and a bar here and there are back rooms over here you can use as back rooms. You can even hire a barge to shoot off fireworks." What? Get out of my way and let me look at the space, jackass. I liked that Amy dissed him, saying Bill was her main comp. He was all flustered and upset like a little bitch. He's getting played. And I like Amy for it.

Did anyone notice how Bill tried to get him to say that he was going to give it to her on the private jet and then went right back to her (after he didn't even say that) to tell her that he did? Brilliant. Drive a little sex-centered wedge between those two and stand back.

The fact that Troy seemed to do it on the fly (i.e.: come up with some idea that saves a total fuckup, time and time again), and that he's had his ass in the boardroom so much, might invite criticism that he's not consistent, but still ... he seems to have been the best crunch-guy of the lot.
I think Troy was very good. And I agree that his simpleton act worked on almost everyone he tried it with. He seemed to almost come through, when some moron like Heidi was leader, at the last minute to almost save the day. Problem is, he is a horrible planner. He thinks well on his feet and he has some backwater charm, but that ain't what's going to run my business.

Amy has brains, charm and focus. If she doesn't win, Trump's an egotistical, big-headed, floppy-haired fool.

Oh...er...wait.

TM

PS - I'm sick of his left-hand-woman who contributes roughly zilch each week. She always seems like she zeros in on one person she wants out and tries to get Trump to concentrate on them. I bet everyone who works for Trump hates her. She's the worst kind of kiss-ass, power monger.

PPS - I miss hating Omarosa. And back she comes!
