By all accounts, authorities in Albuquerque befriended the woman. Wilbanks boarded her plane wearing a new FBI hat, blazer, polo shirt and pants and carrying a new tote bag and teddy bear, a gift from the aviation police chief. She flew first-class — thanks to tickets bought by her parents — and said she planned to name the bear “Al,” for Albuquerque.

Is that Jennifer Love Hewitt? That's hot? That's downright first year associate at my law firm. You have flyover taste. ANyone who played anybody sweet and sixteen on tv show before you hit 25 is hot.

Let's test it: Wonder years, Winnie or the older sister?

Thurgreed. what is the report on Sequels?

Song Stuck in My Head

That part was pretty good. Too bad the movie was much more cartoonish than I expected. It was alright, I guess, but I am now concluding that the HHGG wasn't meant for the big screen. It just doesn't translate.

My buddy (another big fan) was just as shocked as I was when the theatre gave the movie an ovation. It is not ovation worthy.
I am always dumbfounded by people who applaud or ovate movies. The point is to tell the performer you enjoyed it. The only time I could see doing it would be at a premiere or something where the actors, director, producers, etc. were there to hear the audience response.

The HHGG showing I went to got a mixed reaction. There was a group that was clearly all together who laughed at the same spots and applauded at the end. The rest of the theatre gave it a much more lukewarm reaction. I enjoyed parts of it, but, like you, was somewhat disappointed, and the similarity to the BBC series (right down to the music and narration) was unexpected and distracting. That said, the song stuck in my head.

The report is that you're old and crazy.

And she is not.

Did it represent the guy stranded at the altar that everyone else is talking about, although I have no idea why?

It's like that 14 year old girl kidnapped in Utah a few months back that CNN got all y'all hyped up about. CNN was meant to spare me the local crap about cats rescued, or "Iraq, What One Ignorant San Franciscan Whose Son Is A Private, First Class, in The Reserve Thinks About It At 11:00." Now local news has become national and I want to puke. There were kidnapped girls all over the U.S. that weekend, and there were jilted husbands and scared people who made up stories to the police all over the U.S. last weekend.

This shit ain't news, its entertainment, and bad entertainment at that. Do you hear your secretaries talking about it? Yep. That means you are discussing the equivalent of Bennifer. You care whether Ashlee lip syncs. You have abdicated your brain. You have 19 years of education and you are spending it discussing the lowest common denominator. Drink the Kool-Aid, now.

Less (I love reality TV) inSF
I only have 17 years of education. I think I abdicated my brain sometime in 1988.

JLH is not pretty. Cute, maybe. And perhaps if you removed the head entirely, the attraction would be more obvious.

Not true. I didn't think Steve Sanders was hot. At least not until he joined the KEG house.

Exactly. In ten years, when she reaches your age, I'll trade her in for a newer model.

Songs stuck in my head

Early this morning I heard Paul McCartney was touring and as a result "No More Lonely Nights" has taken over my head. This song has to rank on the list of

Worst.

Songs.

Ever.

Its not We Built This CIty but given the artist and the shittiness, its gotta be top five. Please make it go away. I don't even have my Ipod to help;
