At the moment, $300+/night is too expensive. I can stay at the places for less, but not where I can hear the ocean.

Dylan McKay (swoon!!) used to sleep right on the beach sometimes.
(sorry, that was not helpful. I was just feeling nostalgic)

I could go for that, as long as I could be sure I would not be arrested or attacked or anything unpleasant like that.

I have tried masturbating, eating chocolate, and working out (not all at the same time). I threw a bit of a hissy fit at my trainer for which I am quite embarrased, so that didn't work. I would like a massage but I don't think I can leave here early today. Sex would be good but I don't want to pick a fight with my boyfriend. Right now I am squeezing the crap out of a stress ball.

Once again we are N Sync. Or almost. I woke up really really down. And then a couple of bummers hit me and now I am doing all I can not to just burst out in tears. Not sure what is wrong with me, but I doubt going on a lunch callback interview with a 2L will cure it. At least that should delay any crying jag a bit. Maybe. We are going to a steak house and I (for the most part) don't eat meat, so picture me crying over my shrimp ceasar salad while I try to convince some guy to come work with me.

One mini martini... I'm serious. A small Chopin ice-chilled, with no garnish. Sit back and just say "fuck it."

That and "Surrender" have never left heavy rotation on my Ipod. The new tune - "Perfect Stranger" is perfect bubble gum pop.

My god. If you don't have restaurant selection control the interview lunch is simply not acceptable. Just go somewhere else. Tell the brat "the stuffed shirts recommend steakhouse, but those in the know go to ?????" they will agree to the switch and you can eat what you want.
I can't believe I keep giving this advice out for free.

The steak house lunch is idiotic. It makes no sense to go to one unless you plan to eat a fat steak and get ripped on at least five fingers of the good liquors they serve. Why do people insist on having luncheon things at joints like that?

Hmmm. I just cried at my desk for two minutes. The way the crying started, I thought it was going to last much longer, but now it's over. I am, however, a bit puffy and red. Thankfully, I am not scheduled to interview anyone today. I don't usually like to interview anyone unless I am looking really haggard and sick, and a bit puffy and red just isn't up to my usual standards.
