Is this good or bad news?

As someone who loved the books and enjoyed the BBC TV Series, I'm not sure what to think.
Interesting. This could be a real coming out for Mos Def, who has been great in smaller roles but hasn't really had a larger role to prove his chops. Could be really cool...

Cartoon divorce

Pixar ends negotiations with Disney
Computer animation company said it is seeking new partner.
Pixar, the pioneering computer animation house founded by Apple Computer Inc.’s Steve Jobs, said it would look for another studio partner to distribute its films starting in 2006, when its current deal with Disney expires.

Which is too bad because it seemed like such a good match. Pixar has the creative skills and Disney is a marketing genius.

I can't really think of anything snide to say about this situation except that greed blows.

No no. It sets off metal detectors. It's like the owners are stoned or something.

Has anyone been to Graceland? Am I nuts for wanting to go there and laugh at people?
there an old documentary clled Mondo Elvis- you'd have to go to a cult video store. Its about nutcases who live near there. it was made about 10 years after EP died. I HIGHLY recommend this movie. Best nuts? Twin 20 year old girls, who know Elvis was their daddy. "Momma won't say he was, but she won't says he wasn't either!"

Mmmmm, ginger. though, the part I read just said it smelled like gingerbread, not that it tasted like gingerbread. Maybe he used the origins ginger stuff.

39 states, though it's possible that I've been to MN and ME, I just don't recall. Only two other countries besides the US. But I'm xenophobic.

We should do a plains states/pacnw roadtrip together and get our numbers up.

ETA that I've been to one or two, or maybe three, more countries than I thought. Some islands I've been to weren't on the list. I'm pretty sure that they belong to two different countries.

the most disturbing part? they're selling pizza in a porn store!

how messy does this make the private booths? you know when you're not sure a mag has been pawed over before, but you think probably? now there will be sauce stains.

I just think porn/pizza are good combo at home, but bad as one-stop shopping.

Was She Really the Flute Player?

A former member of the Seventies rock band Jethro Tull has had a sex-change operation to become a woman.

David Palmer, the band's 66-year-old ex-keyboard player, has swapped his trademark beard for long blonde hair and make-up and is now called Dee. She is recording her first solo album.

were they certified nutcases or is this speculation? I'd like a second opinion.
