Spoiler space for cycling time trial, as if anyone cares . . .

But don't go against Tyler Hamilton. He has just pulled into the lead at the 36 km mark (out of 48 km) in the men's time trial. The leaders are separated by seconds but Tyler could get the gold if he finishes strong.

Why isn't Lance Armstrong the best at either the road or speed? Is he more the best compromise, but there are betters at each? Why wouldn't he be in the Olympics?

If all that happened was SS posting "Deleted by Admins," then you are being a big baby, man.

We know you two don't get along, but that post is hardly him impersonating you. And you're letting your personal feelings govern how you run this board.

Stop being an assjack.

From the Chicago Stalin Board

After several years and several lateral moves to various MIDLAW firms, I am fed up and exploring new career options. Unfortunately, the usual "do what you enjoy" advice is presently useless to me because the practice of law has gradually but completely sucked from my now-black soul any notion of what that might be. Obviously, becoming a childrens book author is probably not a viable option for the time being.

As I figure what I want to do, I am looking for a short-term option so that I can quit my job and take a dump on a partner's desk before I leave. To do this while remaining solvent and maintaining my current alcohol consumption level (which is considerable), I want to learn more about contract or temp lawyering. Is there a difference between contract lawyers and temp lawyers? What are typical assignments for contract/temp lawyers, and what types of firms use them? What are the best agencies in Chicago? What does it pay? Would carrying out the aforementioned desk-dump fantasy impair my ability to get such work?

I'll appreciate any insight -- thanks in advance.

PS. If anyone knows of jobs that pay six figures, don't require any level of personal hygiene, and involve drinking on the job, I'd welcome any guidance on that as well.

He's tired and would rather be fucking sheryl crow.

Also his history of disappointing performances in the olympics probably didn't encourage him to try again.

Peace be with you my son.

Of course my father and I and our colleague the holy ghost have noticed the sinful hand of satan in the smackdown on your informative and ON-TOPIC posting stylings. I hope that the fallen angels like SlaveNoMore, SlaveOnceAgain, Slave4Ever, RobustPuppy, RT and the other assorted administrators ease up a little, as we think this reign of terror has gotten out of hand. I know this posting will probably violate the TOS and result in my cruxifion, again, but for those that get the chance to see this I'd like you to know that some other of the Lord's cool and knowledgable children are thinking about opening a satan-free alternative chat board without any rules or TOS.

Verily I shall keep you all posted on the matter.

May the Lord be with you all.

Yeah, but I think he could probably have come in and won the TT.

spoiler nonsense

But, in Lance's absence, it's Tyler for the gold! Got to love that. It looks like Bobby Julich will capture the bronze. Great day for the Americans in cycling, which is diminished only by the fact that cycling is kind of a wank.

Agreed, but I thought that in 2000 as well.

And agreed on the other (spoiler) stuff.

Yo, I'm not an Admin, and nobody even remembers I'm a Mod, so don't lump me in.

Although I am a fallen angel, it's in a very different way. But thanks for the attention. No such thing as bad publicity and all of that.

Thank you for properly using "reign" and not using "rein."

If someone could send over some vicodin or something for my headache, that would be great. Thanks.

Excuse me, but "proactive" and "paradigm"? Aren't these just buzzwords that dumb people use to sound important? Not that I'm accusing you of anything like that.

What an Empty Feeling

So this is what the board looks like without Shape Shifter and his multitude of socks? How sad.
