Ironweak prefers it that way. The unpredictability of EPL always got him too nervous. He is of fragile temperament.

Um, the chocolate stuff has no bleach-y overtones/undertones/any kind of tones. It's not that kind of salty.
ETA, if it did, would that count as getting some?

Trivia board games to play?
I'm not going to invest a ton of effort just to pass the audition process, but if I get on, I'm going to be willing to work very very hard to become a trivia machine. So ideas anyone???

It may come to that. I just don't know if I can do it after mocking soccer all these years.
All kidding aside, I have no problem with the lack of scoring -- as you noted, many hockey fans have an appreciation for skillful passing and goaltending. It just seems that soccer is like the way some writer described combat -- long periods of boredom puntuated by short bursts of intense action. I guess people can appreciate the midfield set-ups that lead to the attack upon the goal, but the flow of hockey seems more constant and entertaining to me.
We shall see, I suppose, whether I can become a soccer fan or not.

Speaking of watching sports, I was watching the game last night, and Marv Albert was sporting a red toupe.
When did he go red? And it's a nasty color red, kind of pinkish brown. It was awful.

It may not be for str8, because I think the author went to Harvard. str8's story reminded me of the book because to test out how much of the encyclopedia he retained, he auditioned for and appeared on Who Wants To Be A Millionairre. Anyway, what better way to prepare for Jeopardy than by reading the entire Encyclopedia Britannica? I'm assuming str8 is up on his pop cultural knowledge, so he shouldn't waste his time leafing through old issues of People.

The bong hits will help you with your efforts to attain a zen-like appreciation of the game as a whole.
In England, when they first started playing exhibition (American) football games there, they did not do as well as anticipated. The British had been spoiled by highlight reels, showing touchdown after touchdown. They could not bear the excuciating boredom of the 80 yard drive down the field, and could not understand why it took 3-4 hours to play a 60 minute game. It's, like, ironic or something.

There is a drug described in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, purportedly used by bush hunters in Africa, that puts the hunter into a semi-trance, allowing him to crouch motionless in wait of prey for up to 36 hours. Assuming the story is not apocryphal, I have to assume that this is what is being used.

And showing bare tit on TV. When I was in Europe their version of "the Swan" involves plenty of before and after bare tit shots.

Given the nature of that show, I think I'd want to avoid the first 15 minutes of the German version.
