Um, no - I think it was Today - but at the end of the show. I didn't leave until 10 today. And if it was - you can be sure I wouldn't admit it!

Summer Songs Question

Speaking of which, went to see Foo Fighters a week ago and the venue was on the same site as a big amphitheater site. So we get stuck in this horrible traffic and we are wondering what's up with all the Foo Fighter fans in tie dyed shirts, etc. Then we start seeing parrothead references. Yes, you guessed it, Buffet was playing at the outdoor venue... So the funny part of the story is that the parking guys were guessing (probably pretty accurately) which concert people were coming in to see based on their appearance. We were pegged for Foo Fighters and I was relieved. Thank God I left my parrot at home...

Speaking of Buffett, got my tickets for one of his shows in Chicago this year and received in the envelope a voucher for free (with $6.50 fee) tickets to another show at the venue this summer that is having trouble selling... Just have to show up the day of the event and the tickets are mine. Feel sorry for the poor bastards who paid full price, on many levels...
Trying to decide who sucks the least of the following:
ZZTop (w/Nugent and Kenny Wayne Shepherd)
Poison (w/Vince Neil and Skid Row)
Boston
Journey (w/o Steve Perry), Sammy Hagar and .38 Special
REO, Styx (w/o Dennis DeYoung), Heart and Night Ranger
If I go to any of these, I'll have to dress up like the goofs who run on the field at Comiskey Park... Know where I can get a good mullet wig??
Rock on, y'all... :guitar:

They do these little outdoor concerts (I missed the actual singing) a couple times a year - definitely not new, but perhaps more hyped. Remember - it's sweeps, the time of year when your local news covers such stories as "Local Girls Gone Wild," "Hooker Hangouts," and "How to save yourself from a shark attack of you accidentally drive off a pier".
-T(Aha - proof that I was not watching Regis and Kelly)L
Edited to add that Local Girls Gone Wild was an actual (extended) feature that appeared on last night's NBC news in Houston - I swear - where's Rob Johnson when you need a good "What to do when you're being eaten alive by pythons?" story?

Now that you have heard the song, you can watch a clip with six and her mom talking really fast.

Who sucks the least? That's a very tough question. Don't go, your ears will bleed.
Isn't "good mullet" oxymoronic?

The Today show is almost as bad. Matt Lauer is a nauseating sycophant who's just a little too pleased with himself for being a second rate celebrity who scored a model for a wife just before he lost his hair. Ann Curry wins the prize for being the second most obsequious person on the show, which is her lot in life, I think (being second, that is).
As for Katie -- she's vastly preferable to Diane ("When I squint, it's to remind you that I'm a serious journalist as well as a babe") Sawyer.
I can't help but like Al Roker, though. And Soledad O'Brien is very dignified whenever she subs, a true feat in those circumstances.

Mayim is a Hebrew school teacher (music I think).
That perhaps doesn't have quite the press appeal of the Coreys' meltdowns, Punky Brewster's breast reduction or the Diff'rent Strokes' kids' assaults, gun charges and Playboy posing, but I really did think that was cool.

This concert doth not suck.
On the contrary, the kings of Texas boogie put on one hell of a show - hell, I'd pay full price.

Right. They used to be brought to me (and you) by the Incredible, Edible Egg. Thank god I don't have to hear those "I love eggs!!!" ads anymore. Every week. All summer. Many Bad bands seeking publicity. A propos of nothing, Jewel is on SNL tomorrow as well.
This was the "meet the artist" segment they had before the actual performance. We met jewel in all her new hoochie glory (NTTATWTT), as I had on the web the night before.
