Being Bobby
I caught two episodes last night. Don't know if there were three new ones in a row or what, but they're replayed every hour on the hour it looks like, so I'm sure it won't be hard to figure out.
It is a bit slow, and I don't think I'm going to stick with it. But, damn. I knew some people needed the attention that comes along with being a star, but I couldn't actually picture the desperation behind it. Bobby does a good job of helping me with this. Please recognize me! Look at my famous wife(y)! I'm Bobby Brown! Jesus. It's fucking pathetic.
Whitney spends her time acting ghetto, even though she is not from the ghetto and has probably never been to a ghetto. I am convinced Bobby did this to her. She acts like a fucking idiot.
The funny thing is, she hates attention. She begrudgingly gives autographs and poses for photos (and the requests are constant, annoying and seemingly unending, so I can see why it would get frustrating). He tries his best to get people to recognize them so he can pose for photos and sign shit. You would think they would have killed each other by now.
That said, it is clear these two love each other. They are an old married couple who gets on each other's nerves, share everything and seem to genuinely care about each other. The affection they have for one another, with the exception of a few instances, doesn't seem to be manufactured for the camera. And in a weird, sick, strange, tuaom way, it's comforting.

Brooke Shields editorial in the New York Times regarding post partum depression
One thing that I don't get about Tom Cruise's criticism of psychology is that the recruiting methods that the scientologists have always used have always revolved around offering free psychological screening/tests to random passers by with nothing better to do.

Don't be so presumptuous. I've got some stories about pro se plaintiffs that rival the rude fats story.

These people believe aliens polluted our souls, and that absent the alien virus planted in us by Xenu 75 million years ago, we'd all be gods.
The lack of consistency in their message is like a broken seatbelt on the Hindenberg.

How do you think Earl woods would come across on the show if they made it when Tiger was 6 or 7?
