Had a great time in the heat in Palm Springs. Radiohead's performance was the highlight and Thom's voice mainly held up despite his throat problems earlier in the week. Other good performances included Stellastarr* (much better live than on their album), Deathcab for Cutie (but there were some sound problems during their set unfortunately), Thursday, Pixies, Kraftwerk. Didn't stay for the later stuff on Sunday. If anyone wants more details, PM me. I'll save the board from scrolling through much more...

I had to have the front seat pushed all the way back until it was touching the back seat just so I could fit in. By the end, only the front driver's side door worked consistently. When that car became too unsafe to drive (actually, well after that car became too unsafe to drive), a co-worker sold me an old, old Volvo (I don't even remember the year), which seemed like a luxury car. When some woman in a gigantic Suburban or Expedition or something smashed that to pieces in about 2000 or so, my friend told me she wanted to get rid of her 1996 Jeep Cherokee Sport. 2 door. No power windows or locks or anything like that. But I remembered how nicely my mountain bike fit in the back when we went mountain biking together, so I bought that. That is what I still have. I don't want to use the word sophisticated, but there it is. I guess this means I will never fuck Not From Here.

What are your feelings re: electric toothbrushes? We have not discussed Sonicare in at least a year. Maybe everyone already has one. I have found that flossing, Sonicare and the tongue-scraper thingy mean that I spend a minimal amount of time in the dentist's chair. On the one hand, this means that he is not earning his fee, IMO. On the other hand, for some reason dental pain does not give me an endorphin rush so it is just bad pain.

Did you like the blood-stained Brad? Or do the cuts need to have actually formed scars for you to be interested?
