Summer Songs Question

Just have to show up the day of the event and the tickets are mine. Feel sorry for the poor bastards who paid full price, on many levels...
Trying to decide who sucks the least of the following:
ZZTop (w/Nugent and Kenny Wayne Shepherd)
Poison (w/Vince Neil and Skid Row)
Boston
Journey (w/o Steve Perry), Sammy Hagar and .38 Special
REO, Styx (w/o Dennis DeYoung), Heart and Night Ranger
If I go to any of these, I'll have to dress up like the goofs who run on the field at Comiskey Park... Know where I can get a good mullet wig??
Rock on, y'all... :guitar:

I shouldn't tell you all this, but I saw Sammy Hagar last year (I don't like his music and I was at the concert mainly because of a friend who was on the tour with him, obviously this is kinda outable, so I will leave the explanation there). Although I've never been a fan, I will say that his tour has a very Buffetesque feel to it. He has Cabo Wabo fans who follow him around much like the Parrotheads and much of the music has a similar feel (other than that godawful I Can't Drive 65 song and his stupid circa 1980 plastic sunglasses, oh and did I mention the video showing him in the yellow/red jumpsuit?).
So if this set of tix is a Buffet bonus, you could use them on Hagar and continue the love...
n(I've also seen him on Cribs so I might be considered a border-line stalker)cs

Now now now -- there's no need to attack free-thinkers like E/O just because you're a traditionalist who prefers the missionary position whilest, uh, "deposing" Not Swede captains of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Oh, and apropos of nothing, one would think that if one were the second best* French Canadian goalie in the NHL, one could find someone in Montreal other than one's sister in law to boink. But maybe she's really hot. I dunno.
*Well, maybe Marty is the best goalie period this season. Or maybe he's second to that French Canadian Giggy dude from Anaheim, not Patrick Roy as I think. Anyway, he may have questionable judgment, but may finally win the Vezina.

I didn't see the series - pray tell, what Edwarding food did "sir" John refuse to eat, and how was it supposed to be served?

Well, I'm not a man, or at least I don't admit to being one, and the way I read the great hands thing is, "the better to grab your tits and ass with, my dear." Cheesemo.
He might try to explain it more innocently, as in "I give great massages." A great pickup line, that one is. Even more cheesemo.
Or he might not like performing oral sex and thinks that he makes up for it with one or both of his great hands. Not cheesemo, just stu.

A good mullet wig is a good wig that, notwithstanding, looks like a mullet.
A good-mullet wig would be a wig that looks like a good mullet, if you can imagine that. Oxymoronic.

It was a baked stuffed pig's head in all its graphic glory. They carried it out like a trophy and displayed it prominently on a sideboard for the family and guests, then Sir John was complaining repeatedly how disconcerting it was to have dinner staring back at you while he was eating its cheeks, which upset the butler very much as it implied he'd done something terribly wrong (in front of company no less) and that the faith and trust his master had in him was irrevocably damaged.

Mr. Raj-Singh came across as an oily, prissy, preening, passive-aggressive drama queen. Glad I'll probably never have to be in the same room with him.
"Sir John"'s tears at leaving the house, and lot of the things he said, really made me feel sick to my stomach. Of course you don't want to leave, you pompous prick--no one would want to give up that kind of privileged existence. The whole show demonstrated just how hard it can be to get the privileged to recognize and acknowledge their different status: "Of course my servants are happy," etc.

Only caught part of the last episode.
My favorite bit was when they were showing the movies, the Upstairs folks were sitting around politely ohing and ahing at themselves, while the downstairs folks were hooting it up and making fun of themselves.
The Upstairs folks were pretty pathetic. Raj-Singh very annoying, Sir John's wife saying that she was "meant to be an Edwardian", her sister losing it when she had to say good-bye to the horses. I bet they had a harder time adjusting back to reality then the Downstairs folks.

Huh. I guess the dude doesn't eat much fish - that tends to stare back at you, too. And, I think the comment implied that his guests were boring more than that the butler had misplaced his serving tray.

Gack, that's what I was afraid of. The most recent candidate with this line just sent me an email (no pictures yet) describing his flat stomach, wine collection, and hill-top orchard.
(Not quite that shallow)

Not the Leafs, the Habs.
And apropos of hockey, Mogilny + Lady Byng? I'm sure she is spinning in her grave.

I think he means that he boxes. He probably wants to know if you can take a punch before the relationship gets serious. I heard OJ won't date a woman with a glass jaw.

Ok, I noted it on a stickie on my monitor. After how many phone calls is berating your practice area a turn on? What are your other turn ons? Can you take a punch?

It wasn't just the pig's head--it was mentioned a couple of times that Sir John had requested a healthier diet (less fat, more fresh fruits and vegetables) than most wealthy Edwardians would have eaten. It was hard to understand him, but in one of his confessional moments, the chef was going on about how "Sir" John had sent back a dish made with foie gras (!) saying something like, "That's brains! I don't eat brains." The only thing worse than a pompous prick who thinks he deserves to be treated like a price is a pathetic nouveau riche pompous prick who thinks he deserves to be treated like a prince.
tm
P.S. From perusing the Manor House website, I guess Regency House is in the works (Second Footman Rob is apparently working on it).

I would have taken great hands to be a veiled reference to penis size (but I may have a one track mind). Great hands = big hands = big package. Of course it may or may not be true. Much like the steriod-enhanced sports car driver.
