Didn't stay for the later stuff on Sunday. If anyone wants more details, PM me. I'll save the board from scrolling through much more...

When I get to be your age I guess I'll have to look into that.

Again with this theme. Just what is age appropriate for people in their 30s? Do I need to go see Rent, and attend Cher concerts? Get tickets for dinner theater shows in the suburbs? If that is what I need to do to avoid looking like I am trying too hard to stay hip, then fuck me, Jesus, and use your condom of thorns, because this world holds nothing for me any more.

Dear Flower,

I know that paigow's post hurt you, but must you lash back in anger like this? A few points:

(1) The line about the "condom of thorns" makes you sound like an anti-Christian elitist bastard.

(2) Some of us like dinner theater. You haven't lived until you have heard the announcer, uh, announce "Gary Burghoff **IS** 'The Man of La Mancha'!"

(3) "Rent" is too edgy for me, and (I think) the majority of thirtysomething suburbanites. I'd have used "Pippin" or maybe "Kiss Me, Kate."

(4) Cher was hot in "Moonstruck." Not that that has anything to do with anything; I just thought that I would point that out.

(5) Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Love,

Not Bob

You have caught me at a weak moment. I do. Want you.

Want you to clean my house. Please pay particular attention to eliminating loose cat fur, but do not harm or distress the cat.

If you do that, I will WANT want want you.

Hi Not!

Thanks for the note. My reply follows.

(1) Point taken about the anti-Christian elitist thing. Although that description may be accurate, that is certainly not how I want to come off.

(2) I have never attended dinner theater, so I suppose my implicit negative judgment of it was unfair. Who knows? I may like it. I like dinner, after all.

(3) An "edgy" musical, huh? Who knew? Who, Bilmore?

(4) Cher weirds me out a bit, but I did not see Moonstruck. Not that I recall, anyway. I saw that witch movie a long time ago, but I cannot recall what she looked like in that.

(5) I try to rage, but I grow so tired these days. So very tired.

Fondly,

The Flower
