OK, I know this is Wonking to the nth degree, but I just had to chime in so that everyone could appreciate the fact that one of the guys from Sha Na Na was in my class in law school.
(I know you're all envious, but, really, get a hold of yourselves...)

Speaking of Jessica Simpson, I met a girl over the weekend who is possibly her twin. Her name is Dallas and she is dating my friend Taylor. Should they have children, I shudder to think what they would be named.

That's the gender politic in our country: ugly men can get pretty women; poor women can get rich men. Generally, it's not the other way around. You might counter that that fact that women can "get" these men means that those guys aren't really out of their league, but ugly men also end up with hot chicks all the time.

Poor men need to be hot to date out of their league.
Ugly men need to be rich to date out of their league.
Poor women need to be hot to date out of their league.
Ugly women are mostly out of luck.

I think someone else may have mentioned this before, but women tend to judge men by whether they can picture themselves kissing the person, while men judge women by whether they can picture banging them. Your statement suggests at least one portion of that equation is true.
The other portion is too obvious to need proof.

Fucking TV sucks because the people who watch TV are fucking idjits. Unfortunately, this shit was on, while I was doing something else and I was too lazy to change it.
I didn't realize how much "reality" TV sucks ass.
This show was like "Beat-on-the retard." Supposedly, some uberjocks show up and crush the retards in a game of dodge ball. Next we will have dwarf tossing and Herbert Spencer Jr. a/k/a Rush Limbaugh sponsored executions of the handicapped.

If it wasn't for your first sentence, I would be wondering which one was the boy and which one was the girl.

Why is a ugly guy who goes after a hot woman shopping out of his league, when a dumb, uneducated woman who goes after a rich genius is not? Does "league" connotate physical appearance?
Just as there are hot women who won't date an ugly dude, there are smart, rich men who won't date a dumb, unemployed women, even if she is hot. And the ones that will date them are sometimes just trying to bang the dumb, unemployed women out, although they might get caught up in a little "accidental" pregnancy now and then.

You said that women generally don't shop out of their league, and I'm saying that that's exactly the kind of out-of-their-league shopping that they do. Remember back when you were younger, say under 30. Back in the 80's, when you went to a club with your Jordache jeans on and bopped to Oingo Boingo, are you telling me that there weren't a bunch of hot little floozies who worked at Spencer's Gift going after the bankers and stockbrokers?

We didn't wear Jordache jeans. We wore Guess pegged jeans with the zippers at the ankles tucked into our EG socks, with our Reebok hightops and neon colored Firenze sweaters.
And the bankers and the stockbrokers only got laid if they had coke...
and mostly working at Spencer's Gift disqualifies you for dating anyone over the age of, say, 16...
