Few things dissuade potential Newbers more than the failure to STP and consequent superfluous posting.

Excellent. I've been very very good this year, Santa.

Color me too optimistic if you will, but my target newber is not the unforgiving fire and brimstone model you suggest. My ideal newber could appreciate the many different flavors that come from non-STP posts. My target newber is happy that Abba, who, after all, was at the sermon, posted her answer.
I think most would agree that the position of "perniciously-anal" is well-filled here already.

If this is not a fisting reference, I don't know what the fuck you're talking about.

What I learned on NPR this morning
Punkin' Chunkin' is an event not to be missed next year.
My favorite quote from the NPR piece, and possibly from any article ever, is from a physics professor from Virginia who came this year to observe the goings on: "People will quote over 600 miles an hour. Now the speed of sound is 760 miles an hour. So we're talking near sonic speeds for a vegetable. That's impressive in itself."
Yes, Thurgreed, I know I'm a nerd.

This one time, at a company I used to work for, there was a dissatisfied non-native-English speaking client who argued with every relevant person in a given office for redress to which he was not entitled. After receiving an unequivocal denial from the director of the regional office and declaring his lifelong hatred for said director, he took his complaint to a vice president, and in his conversations with the VP repeatedly referred to the hated director as "that fucky fucky guy."
Every time I think of that director I think "that fucky fucky guy." (The deliciously ironic part is that he's not a fucky fucky guy at all!! He's actually really nice!!! Hahahaha!!!)
Anyway, is it wrong to find that funny?

I think I prefer band camp stories, but this is amusing so you don't need to feel bad about finding it funny.
Did the guy MEAN to say fucky fucky?

I always presumed he meant to say "that fucking guy," to sound all tough and shit, but didn't realize that "that fucking guy" doesn't really sound all tough and shit, even if you double the fucking.

Why did you put "mean" in all caps? What does "Did the guy MEAN to say fucky fucky?" convey that "Did the guy mean to say fucky fucky?" does not? Your incredulity that he called the guy fucky fucky?
You sucky sucky. Thank you.

Need Help
I'm writing a song parody featuring Hank, and I'm a little stuck. What rhymes with "fatuous"?

Bath house is probably as close as you'll come.
