And yet, oddly you weren't embarassed at all when you climbed into my lap and totally smothered me with you gigantic ass. Wierd that.

ABBA, I think you're giving her a little too much credit. She is 22, for heaven's sake. And an actress. When I was 22, I could barely wrap my little head around the idea that paper money could be exchanged for good and services.

How does a mortgage work? How, ABBA, how?

She isn't 22, she's like 44 -- mmmm said there was a "similar age differential" between him and the chick as there is between Coltrane and a 22 yr old.

In any event, I think you are underestimating her (or overestimating your dumbosity at 22). Whatever her age, if she'd left off "rent" and just said "you wouldn't have to pay as much" she would have been correct, or a general way, whether it's rent or mortgage. Of course, if he is the sole mortgage-holder or sole person on the lease, whether someone else gives him money or not, he still owes the same amount. Even if there are multiple people on the lease, it may be joint and several liability. And money's fungible and stuff.

God, I must be bored today.

(Actually, the audience around me was just weird. Wore opera concert t-shirts and appeared to be the sort who tramped around the world like Wagner deadheads.)

Anyway, my point is that perhaps going to German opera is an age-appropriate activity for a thirty-something like yourself. I really enjoyed the opera and it made me feel very young comparatively to be young and cute and surrounded by old strange people (although the geezer beside me knew a lot and was very informative).
I've actually heard the Ring is pretty impressive, but I thought it was a two or three day event. Was the version you saw abbreviated?

Wagner's music is pretty damn impressive in full surround at peak volume when you're really flying. He doesn't really sound anything like any other composer.

It is not good music for sex.

I'd love to have roomates, but I don't want to pay rent. A close buddy of mine just mived away and I don't know who I'll drink Maker's with on weekends any more. You need bad influences around, and my wife's more of a wine drinker.

It is a several day event if they produce the whole cycle. The whole cycle is four operas - lasting 18 hours. The last of the four takes six hours. I just had a ticket to the last one. Like going to Return of the King.

Ollie back me up on this - surely you've been to Dicks.
I'm comfortable enough to admit that I've experimented with Dick's, and I even liked it. Given a choice, though, I prefer In'n'Out.

Actually, and nobody cares at this point, but I don't put them in the same category. In'n'Out is the pinnacle of fast food. Dick's is old-skool drive-in. Both good.

La Boheme. It's an opera.

I'll admit I agreed to some things I'm not proud of in order to convince you to give me your mom's phone number. Just imagine how foolish I felt when I stole Rick James's Nokia later that week (long story) and found it on speed dial. The entry said "toothy," and I figure forewarned is forearmed.

"Plus," she added, unaware of how a mortgage works, "you won't be paying as much rent!"

I felt like I wasn't meeting the coolness standards imposed by young twentysomething Hotty McHotties on older lawyers.
I waited for it, but paigow's falling down on the job today. Maybe it was a late night with the blow job camel.

Translation: I can still get the young hotties.

Only if you are not dramatic enough for Ride of the Valkyries.
