you're right, I contributed a bit. And I think I took most of it in good humor. The straw bit. The floppy tits bit.

Looks based shit humor is particularly humiliating but I digress.

This is proof that nononono is a chick. If there is a guy here that thinks that is debatably "not gay" (or gets an exemption) please step up.

>Apologies for emailing on a private email address but I am currently on holiday in Barbados and refusing to access my Citigroup emails. However, I have had your email forwarded to me by one of my senior colleagues about your party this Friday. Unfortunately I will not be able to make it as:
>
>1. I always wear jeans and a t-shirt on the weekend (no exceptions) 2. The ritz is SO last season. 3. I would rather not have to waste time buying you a card and present, which you probably wouldn't need anyway 4. Your PA has advised me that most people won't be turning up so I won't miss much 5. Like most people, I'm not very good at sticking to arrival times and would probably miss my slot.
>
On a serious note, based on your email, I am quite dumbfounded with how you managed to get a job here with us this summer and i will be having some SERIOUS words with the person who interviewed you. The fact that you have obviously spent a lot of our 'Work Time', planning your birthday party and not doing the work we have given you is a clear indication that you are not taking this internship seriously and are not dedicated to the firm. I do not think we will be in a position to offer you a full time graduate placement following the internship.

Is it gay when two women do the same thing because a guy thinks it's hot?

I have some very small sympathy for ppnyc in that it is very difficult for anyone to sustain a dignified defense with 40 lawyers simultaneously gunning for you.* It may even feel a coordinated attack, even though it is not.

But I do not think that she should be treated like an eggshell poster because she's unable to take the fallout from what anyone who has read (and comprehended) a day of this board could see was going to be an unmitigated disaster on all fronts. I take shit on a regular basis about my driving. The Wonk fat jokes prevail even though they're now inapplicable. NFH still takes crap on a regular basis about her objecting to an image involving her grandparents. Hank's drinking problem is always thrown in his face. Ty's mad editing skilzz on the PB will always be brought up again and again and again. Did you know that str8 went to Yale? History has shown that objecting to ribbing and making fun of something will only exacerbate the jokes.

No one** gives a shit that ppnyc is "only a paralegal." In exchange, she shouldn't expect special treatment because she's not a lawyer. And if she says something objectionable--for example, that being a divorced woman is some sort of stigma--gwinky shouldn't be prohibited*** from responding just because she doesn't like ppnyc.

*Though I will say that as much as I hated, despised, and abhored Not Me, she could take it. The difference, though, was that Not Me wanted to be hated. That doesn't seem to be the case with ppnyc, though with some of the stuff that she says, maybe I've misjudged her.

**Except ppnyc.

***By prohibited, I mean urged not to respond, not actually censored, which isn't going to happen here.
That was a very prudent post. Leaving out "SS is dumb" because it's true and thus more hurtful- maybe even outable.

I didn't get anything about special treatment for ppnyc having to do with her being a paralegal -- I think it had to do with her being a whiny vindictive brat. I think the only reason RT brought up that it was a bunch of lawyers going at her is that lawyers are usually better than the average person at being creatively very insulting in writing.

People call me fat and vapid, and I believe there was a sock created at one point whose aim in life was to get me to leave the board by purporting to represent a majority of posters -- back when there were a lot more posters. Wah wah wah. You want nice, go participate on a board sponsored by BB or whatever it was that kicked us off because we used too much bad language.
I'm sorry for the dead cat posts.

If you're not part of the solution, you're part of the problem.

Random question

Random question for the board...

What's the difference between Darvocet and Vicodin? There's a big V on the Darvocet that leads me to believe the pharmacy gave me the wrong thing.

I have an inflamed partner on my back and need to deal with the pain immediately. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

TIA!
