But if you did run, would you listen to music?
When I ellipt, or something of that sort, I am happy to listen to music. But I do that sort of thing so rarely that I don't fill my iPod accordingly.

RT, did you try the interval-esque thing yet?

Tonight!
Though I mentioned it to my trainer who replied, "what do you think those hills in run class are for?" I did recall that my heartrate does tend to skyrocket when he makes us do that, and it's not a really tall hill. I need to start going back to run class.

Why is there no selection for smoking weed with friends then going to a bar to drink beer? It's like chocolate and peanut butter.
I know it sounds silly, but I hate those internet quizzes. They make me feel like some kind of freak, like there's no little pasty man hunched over a computer writing one of those quizzes with whom I'd ever relate.

I like listening to the Anvil Chorus.
It also does double duty for my makin' love mix.

Because we already know your secret pleasures. Frankie Valli and Air Supply.

I agree that that is what the hills are for. So maybe you are already doing it! Yay!!!!

Although I'm not RT, I stole your advice and have been doing the interval thing since you posted about it. At first it really got my heart rate soaring, but after three or four days in a row, it stopped having such a pronounced effect. I don't know if that's good or bad.

Frequently when I wake up in the morning I think "I don't WANT to get up." Lately I've been unable to stop myself from immediately going on to "I'm a Toys-R-Us kid." I hope this goes away sometime soon.
|
I am a major hard to get up person. The alarm goes off I hit snooze. I've recently tried to play head games with myself. "If you get up now, you won't have to drive like a madwoman to the train..."

I probably would. I fucking hate running.
Though, so far when I do the long-ass* walks on the weekend, I have never taken the iPod. But I'm moving slowly enough to window shop, and stopping to really look at things is not verboten since I'm focused more on the total distance than how long it takes me to cover it. I guess that means it's not cardio. Oh well.
*long-ass by my definition. ncs and Mr. Man walk these routes (well, one of them at least) without a second thought, and not really counting it as exercise.

I think it's probably good, though I also think you only need to do it like once a week.
My butt hurts from working out, but once again I am not otherwise sore, thanks to the magic of ibuprofen and Dr. Marshall.
