The original, and still world leader, for the harm it did others was Don Knotts from Andy Griffith's show. He had some sucess since, but not what he was.
McLean Stenvenson and Wayne Rodgers leaving MASH were also pretty dumb, But ultimately less harm because while the show sucked more after, it did suck before.
