Yo! P-bomb in the house. What is with this annoying new trend to stick a dash bomb on the end of letters?
And furthyer to the point, what is an Hbomb? You think Harvard is going to get up in arms bc Trump canned one of its alum? Or that the Harvard Association of Real Estae Moguls is gonna have a powwow and kick Trump's ass off the island? This has to be the stupidest thing you ever said, Cooter. Are you that ridiciulous or are am I supposed to read between the lines?

In defense of dtb's husband

I feel a strange need to defend your husband on this one. My bet is that he's been watching this show with you for some time since it passed it's "sell-by" date. During that time, he's probably become increasingly hostile to it for it's lameness. And, he is comfortable enough with you to express this rather than suffering in silence.
Whatever else is going on, and that I won't even guess at, I suspect this weekly bit of suffering has something to do with it, and he's justified.

It's hard to read with one eye. I don't usually get up for stuff like that. Call me a stiff, but I'm too much of a dick to sort through that shit.

Nope. Usually he's just passing through the tv room and sees what I'm watching. I am fairly certain he's never seen an entire episode start-to-finish.
He did watch a little of the "wrap-up" episode and actually found the scene where Charlotte and some guy are "doin' it" and as the guy is, uh, "finishing up" he calls her a bunch of nasty names (the horrified/shocked look on Charlotte's face is hilarious) very funny.
So, no. That's not it.
PS -- your hypothesis includes (I don't say proves) my point --"lameness" doesn't seem to me to be sufficient grounds for hostility, hence the search for another explanation. The only thing that even comes close to irrational hostility on lameness grounds for me is the Alanis Morrisette song about "Dear Marcus...etc." That song is so fucking stupid, I can't stand it -- but I just skip it when it comes on. I don't feel a need to rant and rave about it.

You're supposed to a) follow the thread, b) realize we're talking about reality tv, c) recognize a play on a turn of phrase that's at least 20 years old and 17 past it's best if used by date, and d) acknowledge that you're not the only person in the world that engages in occasional hyperbole.
Oh, and edited to spell it out for paigow:
I was agreeing that Trump canned troy because of his relative lack of education compared to Kwame's. Sorry to confuse that by turns of phrase that are outside of this week's Paigow lexicon. Keeping up with that, like math, is hard.

I catch your drift. You are coming through loud and clear. A potent message indeed!

SPOILER
First off, my liking Lex bc he is more likable and less middlemanagemnt not bc of his strategies
Second, I dont remember what Pagong is and the fact that you do scares me.
Third. At first I thought it was a bad idea bc in a merge situcation, they are going in equally numbered up and Rob is voting against them in any event. but then I thought about it some more. I dont see why Rob would have any huge loyalty to Rupert who he seems to hate, or reallyanyone on his tribe other than Amber . But, he did pull that godfather move whicvh means I think he would return the favor at least in the short tmer and knock off a couple of people from his old (current) tribe. so basically rather than knock off one person on the other tribe, they added two to their tribe while losing one. zero sum. he probably keeps the loyalty of his current tribemates, and has two physically strong people in his camp. these folks probably wont win in a jury situation. so i think it is probalby an okay move. otherwise, he just kicks off amber and is stuck with his consistnetly losing team. He probalby also gets some guy bonding shit by hooking with Rob. I dont see whats moronic about it. and dont even fucking think of spoiling it for me or others in a response. In fact, dont respond bc I am starting to get the feeling that you may have spoiled it already.

I am openly hostile to that show because - contrary to popular sentiment - it does not present powerful women. It makes women look like utter unlikable idiots.
The Carrie character is an idiotic, poor dressing simp and that she went back to Big at the end shows that she had no self-esteem.
Charlotte was a rich, do-nothing homebody. NYC JAP stereotype if there ever was one.
The Redhead was just-plain-weird.
Samantha came across more as lonely and desperate, not "strong".
And the show - on the whole - just pissed me off. On their salaries, how the fuck did they get to live where they did. Carrie wouldnt be able to afford to pay that rent, let alone eat.

But the Alanis Morrisette induced lameness hostility disproves your point and proves mine, no?

I imagine most guys not completely repulsive have turned down a tryst here and there, even if not married. Do you really think that we're all so hard up for sex that we take _whatever_ we can get? I didn't get so good and stabbing hotties from behind in front of the fire without having some long-term relationships with some of the stabees, and you can't be trysting in those situations. Or when the undesirables want to tryst.
