I'm jealous, but you knew I would be when you taunted me with this news.
Ring fanatics are a little different. I tried to see Die Walkure (a mere 5 hours) on a Tues. night at the Met and people were walking around holding money up looking for tickets like it was a playoff game.
If you aren't sick of opera, I highly recommend "Rusalka" tomorrow or Sat. mat. Renee Fleming is singing the lead. I saw her in the Met's production a few years ago and it was wonderful. It's like "The Little Mermaid" with a tragic ending.

A boy who goes to the middle school in my overprivileged 'burb died last week under circumstances that were either accidental or suicide, depending on the source. One friend told me it was autoerotic asphyxiation** but another said she heard it was suicide but that his mother didn't want people to know so she spread the other story.
I can't believe anyone would rather have people think a 12-14 year old hung himself while jerking off to internet porn than that he committed suicide -- if for no other reason than because other kids might try it to see what the appeal is and accidentally kill themselves.
**I learned about this in law school from a case in my Evidence textbook. But the prof wouldn't explain because he had a student at a previous school who, after studying the case with explanation, went back to his apartment and tried it for himself only to end up the same as the guy in the case. So I had to ask classmates to explain.

Probably better than asking Michael Hutchins to explain.

Maybe another had it backwards.

No, I didn't get to Coachella this year ![Frown](http://www.lawtalkers.com/forums/images/smilies/frown.gif) I heard that the Flaming Lips lived up to their reputation -- Great, in that they played a few kick ass songs, including Yoshimi, and Wayne Coyne got into a 9-foot plastic ball and rolled himself over the crowd. Bad, in that they came on 10 minutes late, and wasted 10 more minutes of their 50 minute set on a political harangue.
I also heard that Belle & Sebastian was totally Scottish and gay.

Easy. Suicide means it could have been the mom's fault for not noticing warning signs. Autoerotic asphyxiation (one can watch young Darth Vader engaging in such an act in the otherwise unmemorable Life as a House) is just one of those masturbation things gone horribly wrong and not mom's fault at all. Moms are supposed to prevent their kids' suicides, but there's no mom on the planet that could prevent a 12-14 year old boy from masturbating.

It's all being made by Clean Perfume, and they may soon be available at Fredericks of Hollywood stores throughout the US.

Either way, I hope the kid at least got to pop a nutt on the way out.

Au contraire. It was one of his finest. And gets better with every viewing. Who can not laugh at "ludicrous speed" or Pizza the Hut, or Dark Helmet, let the Schwartz be with you?
