I never started smoking cigarettes, and in middle school I was too afraid to throw pumpkins or snowballs or shit, so I mostly stayed in and watched TV. Am I gay?

I quit because my ex-husband asked me to while we were dating. It was actually not that hard. I just don't like having to stand on guard against falling back into the trap. But I am good at standing on guard because I am Canadian, so there you go. God gives us only the problems that we are best equipped to deal with.

BFD. Quitting isn't hard if for whatever reason nicotine is not an addictive agent for you. When I smoked a lot in college and grad school, it was only socially (because it looks cool, as we all know), and I could take it or leave it. I never needed a smoke (unless I needed something to do with my hands). And more recently, when I took up smoking during my pregnancy to keep my weight, and the baby's, under control, I was able to quit as soon as she was born. Secondhand smoke is really no good for babies.
