So, I've seen a lot of these platform pumps recently. (As seen below.) Mostly in the stores and on celebrities and not on actual people. Am I going to have to buy platforms? Or can I still get away with unplatformed shoes?

LIke these Marc Jacobs - that don't come in my size.

You are right. But their version is so fraught with religious battle imagery it is almost as if they are standing on guard but in a more colourful way.

These Cole Haan's would go perfectly with a couple of my slacks, but they fall outside my size range as well. And generally Cole Haan's are usually too wide. Their B width is more like a C.

If you have narrow feet, I am racking my brain as to which store would specialize in/cater to same. I'd say you'd have luck at Saks, Nordstrom's, and maybe Kenneth Cole?

ah, I remember now. Talbot's has narrow widths. Yeah, they can be old ladyish but the leather is nice and they are well made. Stylish? not so much. you can try there. Also Ann Taylor had platform croco pumps so cute and they run narrow.

Nope, I have given up on most stores and can only shop for shoes at Nordstrom, Niemans, Gucci, Louis Vuitton and Ferragamo. Everyone else caters to you normal-footed women.

I love Ferragamo. I walk by there in the morning on the way to work. They have dreamy shoes. And I covet the bags.
