Seems like we're defaulting here

I think that the choice to pay for the service was a good one. This is the sixth or seventh time that Morgan's site has gone down.

It isn't really in my nature to complain (control your laughter, please) but how many times are we going to change home? I am saddened that whatever momentum we had is probably lost. It is starting to look like the land of censorship may have won. Fuck.

I'm only going to say this once, and then I'll drop it....

You would NOT be complaining if you knew how shitty the other forum software was and how much effort we have put into providing YOU with a FREE, stable, scalable community. And we are not getting paid for this, either.

If we did we did, but we couldn't stay at a board that kept crashing and had substandard technology.

It took us time to put together a solid board with the things it needed to have. Hopefully this will do it.

Part of the reason there were so many people signed up on the old board but not posting was because of its instability. The most important thing we could do was create a stable site. Given what MR and I have done here with the help of some paid professionals, we hope we finally have that.

It isn't easy to create a good board, it doesn't happen over night. In the space of a month I have been involved with the creation of 4, count them 4 different boards. Each one has been a labor of love for this community. I am sick of moving too, but I was not going to offer to create a new home, and then, create a shitty one. So as far as I am concerned we did what we had to do. Hopefully people will like it and will come and post.

If not, we did our best, and that is all we can do.

actually, you can create your own custom title by going to user cp > edit profile and then inputting what you want in the "Custom User Text" box.
I'm sure I'm just further demonstrating my technical 'tardness, but when I go to user cp > edit profile, I don't see a Custom User Text box.

Maybe it's like the Emperor's new clothes and only the REALLY cool people can see it?

When we are able to edit our Custom User Text, perhaps you and I can make ours say "Technical Tard" because I have the same issue.

Let's see how this works out... I would have put my first post on a testing forum, but I didn't see one. Thanks for getting this set up. The resizing of the avatar was a time consuming task. FYI, leagle, on your instruction, the height apparently isn't the critical dimension. I guess maybe whichever dimension is bigger needs to be set at 100 (trial, error, etc.).

My fashion question of the day -- I need some new sandals for work (yes, it is already sandal weather here) and I'm looking for some cute, black, 2-3 inch, stable heel (no stilleto), non-floppy when you walk ones. Any thoughts? They will get much wear...
