Ah, perhaps my memory is going now that I Am In The September Of My Years, but I could swear that I remember a certain Yankee fan getting all excited about the thought of seeing Kaz in pinstripes. But I understand -- the only thing worse than the Red Sox getting him is the Mets getting him. But, hey, at least Ruben Sierra has been re-signed.

Anyway:

At last Red Sox see
it's all about the pitching
"Roger, please come back!"*

Note that although this could refer to the Red Sox, the author's intention was that the quoted language is a plea from The Boss. And or Yankee fans. But, whatever. The point is that the Yanks have lost Roger and Pettite (probably). Maybe they can get Maddux.

I used to think this was true. But I've been with a number of women who have absolutely no smell or taste whatsoever down there. Makes things much more enjoyable.

Others do have a distinct odor or taste. Sometimes it's not bad. Sometimes it's disgusting. One time it was overpowering and I wouldn't even stick my finger in it (told her to get dressed because nothing was going to happen).

Until I read his projected stats. I fell for the hype.

Did she just leave or did she ask for any elaboration? If she did ask, I am curious as to your explanation.

Every man has the story of the one girl with the overpowering odor. One ex told a story of how he sat in the bed of the pickup with this chick on a roadtrip adn when she left, he could still smell it. For days. In fact, I think two of my exes have had this same experience which is odd. These chicks probalby had disco mitts and werent showered for a couple of days. TM? Disco mitt? And was this the ass girl?

As for men's smells, they definitely exist. And whats weird is after you make love with a man, oral or not, you can somehow taste him in your body. like it reverberates through you. not all guys, but some.

He is truly a musical legend, even bigger than Elvis or the Dead IMHO, but I would be surprised if they didn't find drugs on him. Like Elvis. Or Garcia.

Where do you get this stuff? Give me a link, please.

And who exactly do you root for -- or are you one of those everyone-playing-the-Yankees fans? Every baseball post you write is sour grapes on the Yanks. It's almost like you're a Boston fan with your level of obsession.

As for Matsui, we didn't lose him because we weren't really that interested in him in the first place. So, the Mets signing him doesn't really mean much.

I told her it just didn't smell right. Except, instead of "smell," I said, "feel." And this was many, many years ago when I used to have one-night stands. She asked why, and I don't remember what I said. I just remember that funk and asking if she needed cab money (because she was so classy she probably wouldn't take the train).

Thank you, master of the obvious. I meant what's the deal on crack these days.

No disco mitt, but there was some hair -- not just the thin strip I prefer. I don't know about her showering habits, but I met her in Webster Hall (God, to think I actually went to that hole regularly) and she may have gotten sweaty and funky from dancing. Who knows? All I know is that it wasn't going to happen. And it stunk up the whole fucking room. I couldn't believe she couldn't smell it, but I guess it's hard to detect your own odor.

I think we have finally found Kyan/Eddie a real challenge. "Shave with the grain" isn't going to be enough to save this one!

As long as it smells okay and isn't surrounded by a disco mitt, crack is a good thing to be hitting on.

Well sure it means nothing to a team that already has a shortstop but what about a team that has no shortstop OR 3rd base. And what happened to the Dodgers? Weren't they all over little godzilla and wanting him bad bad bad?

Crack; Infringement

What is the deal?
Crack is still a huge problem but probably not as much in GA circles. From what I read and also see in child protection cases, it is most prevalent in lower income areas because it is cheap compared to cocaine. It is more addictive because the high is more intense but also much shorter and the fall is also more intense. The ex-husband of a friend is seriously addicted and her stories of what he's done are pretty scary. I'm not going to get all D.A.R.E. on you, but that's one drug you don't want to try.

About Roger retiring? Uh, he sort of said that during the World Series, didn't he? I guess he could unretire. That's why I said they lost him "probably." As to Pettite, I thought that it was general knowledge that he was headed for Houston, though again, he hasn't signed yet, so I also said "probably" as to him.

Growing up, I was a Mets and Red Sox fan. I still am, though I now root for the hometown Podunkville Plungers (the local Class C team -- great logo of a plumber racing towards a leaky commode, btw) more than anyone else.

Yes, I hated the Yankees as a lad. Why? Because I like underdogs, and you can't get much more underdog than the Mets. Plus all the Yankee fans (with one or two exceptions) were the typical "I like the team that wins" sort of fans -- the kind of people who loved the Cowboys and the Steelers in the 1970s, and who didn't live in Dallas or Pittsburgh. (I should note that I was a Giants fan, too -- go Joe Pisarcik!)

Anyway, I like Joe Torre. I like the way the Yankees have never had goofy uniforms, and how they honor their traditions. I like Yogi Berra. I like Mickey Mantle, and Whitey Ford, and I loved "61*" and Joe Dimaggio and Mr. Coffee, and all that. I just like to see them stumble a bit every so often. Being a Yankee fan when they are up is like rooting for the Empire in Star Wars, or Santa Anna in "The Alamo" (the version with John Wayne as Davy Crockett, natch). Were you rooting for them between 1981 and 1995?

Keep telling yourself that, spanky. And it didn't hurt to lose the Series to the Fish the way you did because y'all beat the Sox, right? Please. Would we celebrate the Miracle on Ice if the Finns (or Swedes or whoever) beat us after we crushed those Commie bastards at Lake Placid? I think not.
