Kenetic artist Jesús-Rafael Soto died in Paris yesterday. He's one of my favorite contemporary artists, and he was supposed to be in Houston later next month for the closing of his current show at the Sicardi gallery.

The wonderful yellow sculpture outside the Law building at the Museum of Fine Arts is his. (another view , cuz I'm quite proud of having taken this picture)

I'm betting the entire country of Venezuela is in mourning.
