Baba Wawa
Did anyone watch her interviews last night? (I was desperate for brainless entertainment and don't have cable). She was so weird and condescending to both Renee Zellwiger (sp?) and Nicholas Cage about what losers they both are for being single! Renee, especially, looked like she was going to cry at the end. What a shrew Baba is!! Who cares whether your life is otherwise full, you don't have a MAN.
This was directly after some weird sitcom whose name I don't know about a workaholic dad who didn't know his kids anymore (but was able to fix all their problems before the half hour was up).
I am so alienated from our culture apparently.

Self Employed Fluffer is a one trick anitpaigow pony? Adios. WIth ignore, I only converse with and observe who I want to. ANd conversely,. those who dont want to converse or observe me dont have to. So they are out of my universe as well. No having to worry , gee, does she really hate me but is talking to me anyeay (not that I am really paranod). Ignore allows me to skip that nonsense. I am now in a world where everyone is paigowapproved And I am approved by those who choose to be in my world. Fabulous.

Now if MR could design some software that could help you ignore all the other paigows in your mushy, little skull, everything would be copasetic.

Buddy Button
I just noticed the "Buddy" button -- is that new? (Leagle, you're my first buddy -- your mother will be so proud! )
What does it do?
By the way, does anyone watch Six Feet Under? I love that show. I just saw this week's episode last night. But before I go on about it, does anyone else share this love? (It's no American Idol, I realize, but it's a good show!!!)

Why should I be penalized if soemone is too feebleminded to get that I am ignoring them and that responding is futile? You need to go to Bitch School, leagl.

Compliance with the big laws
Some friends of mine have been discussing the ten commandments recently, and after going through them one by one, we're averaging between 10 and 40 percent compliance. By far, the biggest stumbling block has been the two "thou shall not covet" rules. The commandment with the highest compliance rate is "thou shall not kill," so far no one's fessed up on that one.
Anyhow, here's my results:
First: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me."
Broken on a fairly regular basis. Lots of other stuff is ahead of the big guy.
Second: "Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image."
Broken on a fairly regular basis. My TV has all sorts of graven images on it.
Third: "Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain"
The frequency with which this is broken probably automatically qualifies me for hell without having to worry about any of the others.
Fourth: "Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy."
This one is broken in combination with the first one especially during football season, though lack of NFL doesn't prevent me from finding other stuff to do on the sabbath.
Fifth: "Honour thy father and thy mother."
Heh, heh, heh. Only when they deserve it. I think that they'd agree that honor isn't exactly forthcoming. Fortunately, I'm gonna burn in hell with my sibs too.
Sixth: "Thou shalt not kill."
Woo hoo! One I haven't broken yet. Unless being a Texan counts, considering the 300 plus people the state has killed. Or being an American counts, and we're in active war killing people every day. Maybe purgatory?
Seventh: "Thou shalt not commit adultery."
Yes, but I didn't know he was engaged the first time. The second time (same session) I knew. Again with the purgatory.
Eighth: "Thou shalt not steal."
A pack of that zebra striped fruit gum when I was a kid. And my vet forgot to charge me for the heartworm medicine last week and I knew it but didn't bring it to her attention. And a bookcase from target that for some reason wasn't scanned. All have some sort of extenuating excuse (except the gum), but I'm sure I'm going to hell.
Ninth: "Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour."
Nope. To the best of my knowledge I've never perjured myself. If the commandment is expanded to lying, there are a lot of white ones that could get me into some serious trouble.
Tenth: "Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's."
This commandment, as demonstrated by my reaction while going on a home tour this weekend, is impossible to follow. I covet on a regular basis. I'm encouraged to covet, the capitalist system is based on coveting, and I feel that this commandment is unAmerican.
Result:
I'd say that I'm somewhere between twenty and twenty five percent compliance depending on how well the cases are argued.
I'm burning in hell.

I didn't see it, but my friend was telling me about it on the way to work this morning. It sounded horrific. She told me that at one point, Baba asked Julianne Moore to kiss her (apparently the subject of her kiss with Toni Collette in "The Hours" was being discussed)! :wtf:
So, Julianne gives her a peck on the lips (why, Julianne, why?), and Baba's reply is something like, "Well, that wasn't very long..." (Julianne should have said, "well, lady, that's all you're gettin'...")
Baba has truly gone off the deep end!
[Glancing brush with fame: Julianne Moore used to live in my building! I hear they showed her apartment on the interview last night -- needless to say, she no longer lives in my building....]

Wow. To me, two-thirds of the fun is watching what the whackos do. I would think that such a limited board would be kind of . . . boring. If you only want to converse with, and see posts from, certain people, why not just stick to IM?

Go back and reread my post, Billy. Whacko was not a category I choose to ignore, unless they are unfunny or boring whackos. O only have two people on the list so far. One doesnt post here I dont think.

What's more funny was her use of the word "its" while correcting your spelling.

You know what I think? I think some gay people are simply shyer about risking the chance of hitting on a straight person by mistake than others. Given the number of "straight" men (and women too but not so much) who end up in gay bars or parks or cruising the Internet for sex, or what have you, perhaps they figure why not, I might get lucky, even if the guy is "straight." Some people are just more aggressive than others.

Leagl,
Here's a question. A few weeks ago I'm at a bar with some work acquaintances. The group is discussing a person at work who no one likes. A clearly gay friend of a coworker asks me why no one likes this person who's being discussed. I, not thinking at all, say "He's a cocksucker". I assume that comment is not offensive, but being overly analytical when bored, I wonder... Is it rude to use a slang word for a gay male sex act as an insult in the presence of gay dudes? I guess you could make the case that "cocksucker" is also offensive to straight women.
S(These are the thoughts that keep me from partnership)D

It is a list that makes it easier to communicate with certain people. And, I am indeed honored, thank you.

I'm not sure how you would be penalized given you wouldn't see it, but ok.
As far as Bitch School, been there, done that, got the t-shirt, gave it up for the most part.
